Rechargeable caplamps have one very good attribute: no extra batteries to buy
Rechargeable caplamps have one very good attribute: no extra batteries to buy. That being said, you must have the opportunity to recharge it, or you're without a caplamp. I use rechargeable ones at home to get about after lights out. It's easier on the spouse and less energizing to the dogs if I don't flip on an overhead or a table lamp whenever I need the facilities or a drink, but I don't want to trip, either. At home, I have the opportunity to recharge the light every few nights of usage, even in extended periods of no electricity (I can always use a charger in the car or a jumpstart battery)On a camping trip, I might carry one of these, but only if I weren't backpacking. You might be able to recharge one with a solar unit, but that's not what you want to be doing with your daylight if hiking, so I'd carry a regular caplamp for that.My previous rechargeable one is in process of giving up the ghost, so I found this one at a very attractive price. I ordered it, hoping it would be as good as my old light. It's much better. It's brighter, the light is slightly more yellow than pure white (I prefer it so) and has a detent aiming on the clip, so you can vary the light point from down to up. My old light lacked that, and the way I wear my hat, It struck too low.I bought this light and my old one because they sit ABOVE the brim of the cap. I find if a light sits below the brim, it interferes with my vision. Also, lights above the brim seem to block scattered light which reduce visibility.Charging time is comparable or less with this new light. It also has cob lights for area and a spotlight for focused light. I generally prefer the focused, but if working close, I'd like the cobs. Both methods have two levels of light. The different styles (cob vs focused) are activated by pressing in different areas of the rubberized switch. There is a rubber plug/cover for the charging port, so it should be relatively water resistant.Price was very attractive and shipping was 2 days. It even arrived ON LABOR DAY. I didn't think anyone would be delivering packages on Labor Day, but this light came then.If you need a rechargeable caplamp, buy this light.

Great little light for night fishing and\or other activities in the dark. Fairly bright for walking but awesome for close up use. By holding down on the switch you can activate the hands free mode, this is especially useful when fighting a big fish at night. It charges via a USB so no batteries needed. Highly recommend you pick up a couple for home and auto.

Charge doesn't last long/ broke within days of use
Lightweight & small, which I like, but one charge wont last nearly as long as the description says. Wont last me more than a couple hours of non-continuous use.UPDATE: micro usb port has shifted and now the device cannot be charged. This has only been used for a total of maybe 15hrs.

Great lights that you can use for a full shift without touching
I got these for work as I needed a good light for work one that would allow me to shut them off if a customer needed to talk with me so the motion detective switch is very helpful to keep my service cap clean considering I work with hydraulic fluids these will do very well for me. The buttons and operation are very easy to do.However I have two problems with these lights, firstly the rubber USB charging cover is loose to the point where it doesn't stay in unless you are very careful but when it does get in place it does hold well it just takes a while to put it in that position. The other problem I have is one of my lights the gray one from the grey and green set arrived broken when turned on the high-power spot it flickers like there is a short. I would contact the seller but there's no way for me to get their information since they didn't share it with Amazon. If it weren't for these two issues I would have rated 5 out of 5EDIT:The seller contacted me to check on if everything was okay it took them a day to get back to me which is pretty fast when I told them the issue I had with one of lights having a short (which can happen in any manufactured Electronics). they are sending me a new one free of charge so far they have great customer service.

Perfect for Runners!
This light is great for my early morning runs! It stays on my hat and visor with no slipping problem. I really like that it is rechargeable. I run with friends that have similar lights but theirs use batteries. Mine is by far the brightest. I highly recommend this for runners!

The best cap light I’ve ever had!
I’ve had several cap lights and this is my favorite! It’s adjustable so you don’t blind people with the bright light, and I like the option to wave my hand in front of it to turn it on/off. Since it charges with a USB cable you don’t have to worry about batteries losing their charge. I also just realized that the rubber coated button glows in the dark!

Rechargeable and hands-free operation
Very nice clip-on light with a rechargeable battery. You just use your phone/tablet charger and plug it into the micro usb port. There are two switches on the light. One controls the middle led and one controls the two sidelights. First press, low, second press, high, third press, hands-free operation. This is the most useful feature for me. In hands-free mode you simply wave your hand within 12" of the light and it automatically turns on, very handy. One issue I had is that you cannot use both the main center led with the two sidelights, it either one or the other. The center light is more focused whereas the side lights are more diffused.
