Taylor Cable 84244 Custom 8 Cyl Red

These wires were recommended for the GM 4.8L LS engine but were 1" shorter than the OEM wires. They didn't fit without straining the wires at the coil or spark plug heat shield.***** UPDATE *****A week later after writing my review and returning these wires: I have since learned that there are two different coil types for the truck, with one type of coil requiring a one inch longer wire. The listing for these wires did not give me the option of choosing square versus round coils, and Amazon's fitment algorithm said they'd work without also asking what coils I have on my 2002 Sierra 1500 with the 4.8L. I'll try to get the right size this time.. It seems like either Taylor or Amazon, or both, should make this a bit easier to buy.

exactly what i wanted what they looked like, what i expected and received. nice pretty read awesome quality cables. 5* . specs? i replaced perfectly working stock 7mm with 8.2's i installed new plugs before hand on the 7's and then put these on after. This helped enough to notice a better start and smother idle right away. i've used these when i did need them (8mm's) and loved them i buy thunder cables on every upgrade tuneup i do to a car and i keep them on. Never had a problem with them failing of getting old or falling apart. cheaper then MSD ( also recommended) most of the time and i think they work just as good if not better. highly recommended.

Ordered them Sunday via Amazon from Taylor directly and got them UPS Tues morning with free shipping. Much cheaper that Pep Boys.Much better quality than stock AND cheaper. I used them on my 2011 Cadillac CTS-V with a built motor and open headers. Even though I wrapped the headers I still bought the Taylor heat sleeves to protect the wires because some.can still touch the headers. My original wires looked fine but I had a misfire even with new plugs. Put these on and the misfire was resolved.

They are about an inch shorter but work just fine on my 2015 Silverado V6. Fit inside the heat shields just right. Nice quality wires. Waaaay better than the summit wires. Came with enough dielectric grease. Definitely smoothed it out at idle but haven't driven it yet. Unfortunate they don't make a set for just the 6 but after 2 more tune-ups I will have another whole set from the spares. Made in USA!

This is an excellent upgrade to the factory spark plug leads. It is manufactured of high quality materials, the cable is larger than factory, and it allows more energy to arrive at the spark plugs. These are installed on a 2010 GMC 1500 SLE Z71 crewcab, and I can feel an improvement in performance, plus the fuel mileage has increased by an average of 1-2 mpg, which could be attributed from the older cables becoming degraded over time. They are also around the same price as a good quality OEM product, why not upgrade to a performance product?

Bought these for my 2012 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3 Vortec in it. Took a shot in the dark because it’s not clear whether they were a fit for this truck. They fit fine and work great. Super easy job, took less than an hour and cleaned up my rough idle. I also used the 41-110 ac Delco iridium plugs.

Very low resistance! 28-29. Changed plugs at the same time. Big improvement at 76,000 miles on old. 02 Corvette.

Nice thick insulation. Alot Thicker and nice than Orignal equipment. For the price you can't beat them. Will definitely buy again from these guys.
