I didn't read the fine print and discovered too late that these do not fit in my old Soda Stream so I had to return them (although I wish they made glass carafes for the older versions). It's worth going to the Soda-Stream website to find out exactly which machine you have because not all carafes fit all types (of which there are many now. Mine is already 15+ years old. Luckily they still make carafes to fit, they are just out of plastic.

After reading about plastic in the brain I decided to switch out as much plastic in my kitchen as I could (it will be impossible to have a completely non-plastic existence, but I'm doing what I can to reduce plastic in the brain risk). I have a SodaStream One Touch appliance - which is not compatible with these glass bottles - but hear me out! There was a method to my madness! I figured I could keep the fizzy water and non-fizzy water-getting-cold in these glass bottles and use my official plastic bottle only for the fizzing process (it's about minimizing risk - you will never have zero risk) Now, the glass bottles are smaller than the OG fizzy bottle and I end up doing a weird pouring dance involving multiple bottles, but, really, it's working for me. I would buy these again because they are specifically constructed to keep the fizz in - and they do. Yes, that's a plastic lid but the water isn't touching it (again, minimize risk - there will never be zero risk). They arrived quickly and safely and they do what I need them to do, which is safely hold water-getting-cold and fizzed water.

These are pretty enough to put on the table, and it's great to have extras filled with cold bubbly water in the hot months. I don't understand the negative reviews from being saying they don't fit their machine. Yes, it is good information to share that they don't fit the machines made for plastic bottles instead of glass, absolutely. But the fact that you bought something which doesn't fit your machine doesn't make it a one-star item any more than if you bought the wrong size tire for your car.

I should not have bought these glass bottles allegedly SodaStream compatible and was not. Bought for my son and it doesn't fit and leaks during the filling process. I should have noticed they use lower case letters for brand name. Amazon shows frequently returned and now I know why.

So this may sound strange, but I swear the bubbles seem finer out of the glass bottle than the plastic and I love it! While this is only meant for one of the Soda Stream models, I purchased an adapter so I can use them on my mine. The bottle and adapter work great and it is so much nicer to drink out of glass. My only complaint is that Soda Stream doesn't make all of the models use the same type of bottle.

One of my six units purchased doesn't fit the carbonation unit. Two of them require a bit of force to connect. Seems to be a minor tolerancing problem; maybe the process isn't well centered in the specification range or something.

Seems to be a good glass bottle but the misleading description above the reviews makes you think you are buying two carafes, with a price breakdown per unit… but this is for only one bottle. Price breakdown and info given is misleading!

There are two kinds of bottles. You want the ones with the plain black plastic csrew-on caps. The gray helmet shaped ones wear out and don't seem to want to seal the bottle, so your water goes flat. Other than that, we love the SodaStream System. We have used it for many months now, used about 10 CO2 canisters already and made several hundred bottles of fizzy water with this thing. We bought 7 bottles so we could just do a bunch at a time and keep them in the refrigerator. My wife drinks about all seven bottles each night since lots of water is always good for you. We just fill them via our water filter on the kitchen faucet and it takes probably about 5 seconds per bottle. The C)2 canisters are only about 14 dollars at Bed, Bath, and Beyond if you have canisters to trade in. We went ahead and bought 5 canisters so the initial investment of $25.00 per canister is steep but after that it is pretty cheap. I am going to guess we get about 60 or 70 bottles filled with each canister. Bed, Bath, and Beyond is so used to taking the trade-in canisters and giving you new ones that it only takes about 5 minutes and they do so many they just keep them at the checkout counter/customer service counter. All in all, we couldn't be happier. All total I have probably made quite a few hundreds of bottles of sparkling water using this system and it is still performing perfectly. So much better than herfing cans or bottles of seltzer water from the grocery store too. Plus, you don't have to mess around recycling cans or bottles or worry about how much junk you are putting in the land fills either. Highly recommend.

I already had one of these bottles and got a second to stock my filtered water in. The bottle I received is exactly the one I got when I bought a SodaStream. Tough thick glass with a pattern that makes it easier to grip. It will smash if you drop it however. One thing to note is it’s very easy to tighten the cap too hard and before you know it you can’t get the thing loose again. It only needs to be tight enough so it stops without having to put anymore force in. Mine are laid down in the fridge on a rack and don’t leak. Of course the added bonus is if you want to sparkle the water these are compatible. All in all a great buy.

Perfect fir for the unit that uses glass. Had to order it direct from sodastream online. DO NOT BUY for any of the store bought models the glass bottle won’t work! But with the correct model it works amazingly well!
