e.l.f. Prism Eye Shadow Palette - 0.49 oz

Let’s not even mention how inexpensive this product is compared to similar formulas. The focus should be on the eyeshadows themselves-the color saturation, the longevity of wear, the total lack of fallout and the blendability. This is a GOOD product, a very good product. You’ll have no problem creating either a day or night look with these shades. Again, I have to mention the formula. It’s almost like a creamy powder. It stays where you put it. It’s really that good. E.L.F. has it going on because I recognize this formula or something very similar and I bought it in a high-end makeup store for a lot more money.

It feels very buttery to the touch and is very buildable! The colors are beautiful and exactly as they appear. I was concerned that a few of them might look too much alike once applied… But they don’t. They are each a lovely unique shade. I can see myself being able to come up with many looks from this one palette, very user friendly. The pallet / packaging itself feels really nice. It is a thick and heavy plastic. The matte finish almost makes it look like it could be a black metal tin (I had to tap it at first to be sure it wasn’t). The mirror inside is a really nice touch —something I miss newer pallets having. I have to say that the pigments are extremely durable because I dropped the package very shortly after opening up my Amazon package (maybe I was too excited) and I thought for sure after seeing some of the other reviews that the pigments were going to be completely shattered to powder, and I would have to try to press them back together… I was amazed when I flipped open the lid to see that every single color was completely intact!!! Not even a little powdery residue. I’m not saying I’m going to test the theory again that it would hold up to another drop but, lol I am impressed that it survived what it did! And what can I say for the value? ELF is always amazing when it comes to their price. I got this on sale at $5 after eyeing it for years. I noticed that metallics or shimmers in these shades or color stories are not as prevalent as they once were… so I was really excited to finally give this eyeshadow a try!! So glad I ordered it. ALSO , I know we are often told not to order any cosmetics off of Amazon, but to order them directly from the manufacturer to be sure that you are not getting a fake product. I color swatched all of these on the inside of my elbow and have had the pigments there for a couple of hours now and I have seen absolutely no bad reaction and I have extremely sensitive skin. Based on the quality and feel of not only the pigments, packaging, and the outer cardboard box that they came in from ELF— I would be really shocked if this particular product is not authentic!

I really am glad I added this palette to my collection - and I have many! This is a very light neutral shimmery, soft...almost buttery powder with lots of light effects. I use it for my base shadow when I opt for a soft look, then add a darker color, usually matte, for the crease. Otherwise, it's too shimmery without the matte addition. I also use this for a tiny dab in the inner corner of my eye for an extra bit of hi-light. Yet another great elf product at an amazing price!

The only reason I am not giving this product 5 stars is that the colors are pretty different from what is shown: the last four are really approximately the same shade. None of them are very dark. I wanted to use these for a little contouring and shading around my eyes, which I won't be able to do, but they are all neutral and will be good for my skintone throughout the seasons (I'll use the last four colors as a base and go to the slightly darker ones in the summer when I am tan). Overall, it's a good amount of eyeliner and a good price for it, but the shades are really off. I would have returned it if I didn't like the first two so much for highlighting and if I couldn't use the other colors in other ways.

Given the glowing reviews, I had higher expectations for this eyeshadow. I purchased the Naked palette, and am surprised by the discrepancies in colors between the image provided and the actual product. The second and third colors appear to be neutral beige / tan shades in the picture, but show up a very vibrant yellow and orange when worn. I am also not thrilled with the staying power of this shadow. I did a test run just wearing it around the house for the evening, and it had almost completely faded within a couple of hours. I can't imagine how fast it would wear off if I were actually out and about. My palettes from Revlon and Maybelline don't need a primer to stay on a good few hours, but you'll definitely need a solid primer to keep this product looking good over the course of a day. On a positive note, the shimmery quality of the shadow is very pretty, and the swatches are just the right size. I have a bit of difficulty opening the case easily, but the compactness and the mirror are always handy. I will try to make us of this product so as not to waste the money, but I would caution potential buyers not to keep their hopes too high for this one.

Make more of this. Big fan for 10 years. So hard to find nowadays.

I love this eye shadow collection! It applies smoothly and evenly, blends with ease and all the colors look fantastic, whether you want a neutral look or something more dramatic for evening. I especially like the fact that there is a slight shimmer to the shadows, but once applied, it's very subtle and the shadows look creamy, not cakey or dry. Super shimmery shadows are great for younger women, but at 49, they just don't work for me anymore. These e.l.f. Prism eye shadows are perfect, long-wearing and don't crease or flake. So glad I bought these, I'll definitely purchase again!

This truly is a beautiful metallic palette. I bought this on recommendation from you tuber Kathleen lights and I'm so happy with it. The shadows are all metallic, but to me, that's not an issue as I have plenty of medium brown crease shadows, these are perfect for the lid, inner corner or even as a highlight because they are so metallic. The pigmentation is great, especially on the darker shades. If you use these with a wet brush (or preferably with a fix + coated brush the pigmentation becomes even better. The shadows are actually really soft and blendable, they are super buttery when swatched and you can blend and sheer them out if you want to so they will be perfect for a subtle look during the working week. I'm really pleased, and I deffinately recommend this palette, it's so cheap and it's such good quality. I have attached a photo of some swatches I did with my finger in the natural light.

I just received my order a couple of days ago. I was pleasantly surprised at the quick shipping/delivery. I used the eyeshadow today, and am pleased with the consistency, ease of application, and colours. The only negative (small negative at that) is that the package looked like it had been opened, although the eyeshadow pans all appeared untouched. I will definitely purchase e.l.f. products again.
