Outstanding resource for landscape architects (and students too)
Leonard Hopper has done a tremendous job of compiling an immense amount of information that covers a broad expanse of topics relevant to landscape architecture, from site analysis to the design of zoo exhibits and everything in between. One of the book's best and most useful features is the enormous compilation of detailed construction diagrams for all sorts of site elements. To top things off, the entire book is very well organized and easy to use.For years the only book with similar information was Time Saver Standards, which I have always found to be difficult to navigate, poorly organized, and lacking in the kind of detail I really need. Landscape Architectural Graphic Standards is a FAR better book.

Great Book
Landscape Architectural Graphic Standards has the same information as Time Saver Standards (and more), but is more thoughtfully organized. I can see the book being used by anyone, from a young professional studying for the L.A.R.E. to a seasoned professional needing an "all in one" reference book. Every professional library has books that are just pretty pictures for inspiration, but they don't really provide anything else. This book is full of the fundamental knowledge for the Landscape Architect.

A very good investment
As another reviewer says, this book is infinitely better organized and user-friendly than Time Saver Standards for LA's while containing all of the same information. I believe that its use to me throughout my career will more than justify its hefty price tag. It should definitely be an addition to any office library.

Too basic
Wow. Utterly basic, but gets the job done.

good overview of a lot of topics
This book has some good overview of important topics in Landscape architecture. I do wish there were a few more detailed drawings of different materials and projects. Really, though, its a staple of work that will come in handy over the next several years and hopefully decades.

Expensive but worth it.
Unlike time-saver standards, this book is properly organized and has clear legible graphics. Tons of useful information. Only complaint is the font could be larger, but the book is already large enough.
