An essential tool for an artist. Allows for fine spot erasing in art work. When you open these(there are 3 pieces) you will be nonplused by the thinness of them, but you have to remember, you want fine erasing in tight spaces and a thicker shield would not deliver the quality of results you are looking for. These are perfect.

If you create technical drawings by hand, this is a must have. You can get them all over the place, but this was a great value for the money. I drew an entire e-learning module storyboard using only one, but was ready to need more. In the past, I've drawn many kitchen and bathroom plans using these. Though thin (critical for performance), they are sturdy. They do come with different cut-outs, but this is the most functional combination of shapes for my work. If you're new to this type of thing here's a hint: use with Mars Plastic erasers to avoid smudges. Essential tool.

I was first introduced to eraser Shields when I was in college taking a computer drafting course. as part of that course we learn to hand draw basic drawings. I still use one to this day whenever I need to erase something nearby something I don't want to damage. Perhaps I'm old school, but I still like to sketch woodworking plans by hand. When my kids started getting frustrated about making mistakes in their art drawings I decided to buy these to give to them. These are thinner than one that I purchased in college but they certainly do the job and my kids are very happy.

I had one of these back in HS when I used to draw in Drafting class I, II, and III, its thin like it should be, very durable but it can be folded so keep it somewhere in a notebook pocket. It is very easy to use, You can use it in drafting, and drawing and anywhere else you need to limit or increase pencil access. The exact size it is suppose to be.

As a beginning astronomical sketcher, I soon realized how important the eraser is in getting a good illustration. This really helps make your eraser a precision tool.

They are eraser shields. They work fine. Not much to say about them. Same as most other eraser shields.

The erasing shield is very useful with Staedtler Mars erasers making selective erasing practical owning to the thinness of the shield. A pack of three is great, in case one gets bent.
