Epicurean All-In-One Cutting Board with Non-Slip Feet and Juice Groove, 14.5" × 11.25", Natural/Black

Recently, I became more aware of the microplastic issue. I had been using plastic cutting boards frequently, because I thought that they held up better in the dishwasher. I hadn't used my glass cutting board in awhile, because I found it large and heavy and not as easy to use. It turned out that I had a 15 year old? Epicurean board in my drawer too, but I hadn't been using it because it was larger, and it did not have a groove for juice. So I did a search of what was available now and I didn't like the wood options. However, I found that Epricurean boards now come in a variety of sizes and now have a groove for juice. I have now been using 3 of these new Epicurean boards in both the 11.5"x9" size and the 10"x7" sizes for about 2 months now and I LOVE them. This time I selected "natural" color and I think it will work out better for long term use than my old nutmeg/brown one, that where I did the majority of slicing, has turned more of the "natural" color. And these smaller sizes are more convenient for me to use regularly. If you don't need the groove, you can flip the board over and use the side without the groove. They say they are dishwasher safe, so I have been putting them in my dishwasher almost daily for the past 2 months and they are holding up with no problems. I see that some reviewers have commented on "dark flecks" in the board color. My old board definitely had a large dark fleck, but it never got any larger over the years. One of my new "natural" color boards has a much smaller "dark fleck", but it does not bother me. These boards are lightweight, practical, and Made in the USA. What is not to love?

I have been looking for a cutting board that will save my knifes as well as rid myself of microplastic risks. This board is the best. And because of its rubber feet it will NOT slip. I guarantee! It's dishwasher safe. It comes in 3 colors. And this one has a fluid channel. I use it for vegetables and meats. It is dishwasher safe. It isn't huge and thick so it is easy to handle and store. It is reversible.The only thing... after I first received it I of course washed it. And it had a smell. An unpleasant smell that went away when dry. I contacted the company and they related that this seems to happen with this color of board. So I dish washed it twice, and the smell is gone. The company assures me the board is non-toxic, and mentioned it seems more prevalent with this color. That being said, I'l still give it 5-stars.Last thing, the company recommends using one of their products to keep it from drying out. I haven't purchased it. So far I don't see a need.

I have a high hope on this product since it is made in USA and meet my need based on the product description. However I received the item has scratches front and back and it looks like very faded like someone already used it. There was even no packaging wrapped around the cutting board so it can be protected during the shipment. I am very disappointed. I immediatley requested for a return.

Good so far but wanted to point out the one above 17 in do not fit in the dishwasher. Comparing to other brands they would gain to make the edge smaller and or have rubber only on one side. Slight disappointment but good product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose this over others because it can be put in the dishwasher and it won’t scratch and hold germs or gluten. Gluten can get on this board and you would have to wash that off. I’m not saying that this board is gluten-free 24 seven. What I am saying is that it doesn’t hold scratches where gluten can get in and Kohls cross contamination.I have celiac and AI recommended this board to me and now I have three of them. I put them in the dishwasher and have had no problems: this one is the slate black in the largest size. It’s actually beautiful in our nearly white kitchen. The functionality is just as described. It’s very durable. These boards are not super thick like wood boards but who knew I would like this better? I thought it was going to be a painful transition from my beautiful walnut cutting boards. Nope it’s been so easy and carefree. You can get these in the size you want I chose the largest board to sit on the end of my island for coffee cups etc. It has a texture to it not a silky smooth finish and I like that too. I have used my knives on it then turned right around and used it as a tray to eat off of lol. (After washing of course.)If you care about germs and gluten this is the board for you.
