ROWENTA PERFECT STEAM DG8520F0

I purchased the DG8520 about 3 weeks ago. I have used it every day, and it has worked perfectly! I owned a Rowenta DG980 for 5 years, and used it every single day, as well. The DG8520 has an on/off switch (unlike some other current models) and has a removable water tank. The water pump cycles more frequently than the DG980, but it isn't quite as loud and there is no interruption in steam output. (The DG980 would periodically stop producing steam for about 20 seconds while it waited for water to pump into the boiler and heat.) The sole plate design of the DG8520 also allows greater steam output than the DG980. I hope it lasts as long as the previous model. So far, it's great!

Replaced my old Rowenta iron of 5 years and wanted one with a tank to help steam laundry and my quilting projects. This works great it came super quick, has very little noise, steam is powerful and heats fast. Very easy to use. Only watch the grey cord and tank they get a little hot, so careful on placement but otherwise love it! Makes laundry much easier and faster.

Love it, works really well. Didn’t like the smell at first , but that goes away after a few uses

We have used the Rowenta steamers for years. My mother first purchased one about 25 years ago and with each new iteration the iron improves. this model has a removable water tank along with the usual features. This is my 2nd version of this iron. I particularly like that the iron is lighter that it would be if it held the water and I like the ability to refill the tank and keep ironing. This is something I cannot live without!

Really love this iron. A little bit heavier than a regular iron but so good with the steam. Only one I would want.

So fat so good...loved the steam iron i had before so good was a hard switch...but i love this iron. .very light..excellent steam delivery. .an excellent item for someone who appreciates their dress shirts being hand washed and ironed without sending them out.

This is the best investment I ever made! Worth every penny! This literally cuts the ironing in half and now its an enjoyable chore! Would highly recommend! Wish I would've bought one sooner.

I like this steamer it is my first Rowenta.I just wish it would generate as much steam as it does at the beginning of the ironing.

I had it when I lived in the US and bought the same one when I moved to the UK. Best iron machine ever!

Ever since I moved to Europe, I noticed that I could never find a good iron like the ones in the states. Any €20 iron in the states always seemed to work extremely well, whereas, in Europe I paid over €100 and it was crap. Well, after spending that much I thought I'd be stuck with a crap iron, until we returned from our honeymoon and our iron would not turn on. I immediately began researching irons and remembered that every Rowenta I had ever tried had always been great. I finally decided on this one and it is great! Finally, a great iron in Europe!It has hundreds of steam holes which make a huge difference. With my other steam-generating iron, there was a valve that would lock while the water was still hot. It would take hours to cool down before you could open it. With This Rowenta, on the other hand, you don't have this problem at all. The water receptacle is removeable and you can fill it up at the sink. You can also just pour water into it directly while it's still attached.I also keep the steam-generating part on the floor but the iron on the board. The cord is plenty long enough for you to iron comfortably like this.It gets most wrinkles out, but not all of them in some shirts. I do think that the hard water here has something to do with it. I notice that many shirts are ironed perfectly, while a a select few, which also seem to be made of cotton that wrinkles more, tend to leave a few faint signs of where the wrinkle was. These select shirt are also my husband's better Italian-made shirts, which have always been hard to iron. When my iron broke, I took two shirts to the dry cleaners just to be ironed, and even with their equipment, they came out the same. Therefore, I think this Rowenta iron works just as well as any professional equipment.

Yo tenía una Polti que compré en el año 2000 y me había salido muy buena, pero se me cayó y se hizo añicos. Compré ésta porque una amiga me dijo que le encantaba el sistema de relleno continuado de Rowenta y de todos los modelos, éste me pareció el de mejor relación calidad-precio y con valoraciones muy altas por parte de otros consumidores. Estoy encantada; en dos minutos está lista para ser usada, plancha muy bien, es rápida, el sistema de relleno continuado es muy cómodo y la varilla para limpiar la cal un gran invento. Muy fácil de usar, los botones y luces justas. Cuidado: La varilla de cal debe estar fuertemente cerrada porque si no la plancha pierde vapor y te empapa la ropa.

Ne analizzeremo design e caratteristiche, prima di metterlo alla prova pratica e vedere come si comporta anche sui capi più delicati. In fine tireremo le nostre conclusioni. I prodotti Rowenta sono da sempre molto apprezzati, sia per la cura che la casa tedesca ha nei propri elettrodomestici sia per quanto riguarda il design, sempre molto ricercato ed elaborato.Guardando al prezzo di questo ferro da stiro, ci rendiamo conto fin da subito che ci troviamo di fronte ad un prodotto di fascia medio-alta, e per questo lo confronteremo con modelli della stessa fascia per carpirne il reale valore economico. Innanzitutto anche in questo caso Rowenta ha fatto un ottimo lavoro in termini di design e materiali di costruzione. La plastica che copre gran parte della superficie della caldaia e del ferro è di ottima qualità, anche se va considerato che è pur sempre plastica e che forse è stato fatto un uso un po’ eccessivo di essa, tuttavia il prodotto è assemblato con tutta la cura che la casa tedesca ripone nei suoi prodotti e risulta solido, solo leggermente ingombrante.I dati tecniciLe dimensioni sono: 44,5 x 28 x 34,5 cm e il peso totale arriva a sfiorare i 6 chilogrammi, non certo un peso piuma, il che ci stupisce non poco visto l’ampio impiego della plastica. C’è da dire che comunque il ferro è abbastanza leggero e non abbiamo accusato stanchezza durante il suo utilizzo, inoltre la posizione inclinata della base ne favorisce la presa e la “messa in pausa” del ferro. Passiamo quindi alla scheda tecnica del prodotto.Quello che è subito evidente è che i dati rientrano perfettamente in linea con quelli degli altri prodotti della stessa fascia di prezzo, che non sono i migliori che possiamo trovare in commercio, ma assolutamente in linea con la concorrenza, niente di più e niente di meno. Il ferro da stiro Rowenta DG8520 Perfect Eco presenta una pressione di 5 bar e un vapore variabile da 120 g/min. Inoltre è dotato di funzione Eco, che fa risparmiare circa il 20% della potenza assorbita. Nella media rientra anche la capienza del serbatoio, 1,4 litri. Una capienza più che perfetta per stirare un carico di capi da 6-8 kg. Passiamo ora alla prova pratica del ferro.Come si comporta?Il ferro entra in temperatura molto velocemente, in soli due minuti siamo pronti per iniziare la stiratura, la piastra in acciaio inox è perfetta, si scalda in maniera uniforme e scorre rapida su qualsiasi capo. La punta della piastra si scalda quindi come tutto il resto (nella concorrenza invece troviamo una temperatura maggiore, che ci consente più precisione si manici e colletti). C’è da dire che mentre la pompa dell’acqua carica il serbatoio il prodotto risulta un pochino troppo rumoroso per essere un ferro che rientra in questa fascia di prezzo, ma in generale non possiamo che sottolineare l’ottima qualità del prodotto.er finire c’è da dire che tutto ciò che di bene si dice in giro riguardo il ferro da stiro Rowenta DG8520 Perfect Eco è assolutamente in linea con ciò che abbiamo provato. I pregi sono davvero molti a scapito di alcuni piccoli difetti assolutamente ignorabili. Il ferro è leggero e agile su qualsiasi capo, anche se tutto il prodotto non è il massimo in compattezza. Il pompaggio dell’acqua forse è un po’ rumoroso, ma il fatto che la piastra si scaldi in soli due minuti fa dimenticare ogni cosa e poi dura davvero poco. I test sono stati superati a pieni voti ed è un prodotto da tenere assolutamente in considerazione.
