Olympus EM1-ii L-Bracket - Fugasan
the l-Plate for the EM1-ii arrived directly from China within its quoted arrival time. The bottom plate fits easily and you can still access the battery compartment.Unfortunately the side piece, which is detachable, interferes with opening the LCD fully and it cannot be articulated. So if you want the full L-Bracket you have to forego LCD articulation. No problem on a tripod but it makes leaving the plate attached all of the time inconvenient. The bottom plate should be slotted to accept a camera strap to improve its usefulness.Given the low price I will attempt this mod myself :-)So 3 stars as I can still use the bottom plate and the price was low. However, there does not seem much in the way of competition and the sellers would be advised to ask the manufacturers to add a strap slot and see if they can sort out the LCD articulation, but that may be difficult. On reflection I think I was too hard in complaining about the LCD articulation problem as most L brackets would interfere. Still minus 1 star for the lack of a strap slot.

Inexpensive and effective
There aren't many L-brackets available for the E-M1.2 and this one works. It's sturdy, and it does allow the LCD to be swung out and turned to a horizontal position. There is good clearance for the battery door too.It could be better, though. It's not a snug fit, so the camera can twist slightly on the plate if the fastening screw isn't very tight. Unlike L-brackets for some other cameras, there is no slot to attach a strap. It also lacks a hole to engage the safety pin on my tripod clamp. (The bracket can't slide right out of the clamp, but it can slide much further than I'd like.)Given the price it deserves 4 stars. I just wish there were an alternative as good as the Fittest L-brackets for E-M1.1 and Pen-F.

Good
Cons - No additional screw hole in the base for additional plates (ala capture clip mount) to attach to. No attachment point for a strap. Will attach to and functions fine on the hld-9 battery grip but doesn't conform to the shape of the battery unit.Pros - Robust, sturdy, lightweight and stylish build quality. Feels premium. Conforms to the body shape of the E-M1 Mark ii perfectly. Functions perfectly as an arca-swiss format base plate and L-bracket. Gap in L-bracket allows flip screen to be opened and be fully operational. Gap in base plate allows battery removal and insert without needing to remove the plate.Good plate/L-bracket. Has found a permanent home in my bag for tripod days.

A little awkward for upright format
Works fine for landscape mode; allows access to the battery compartment; allows the touchscreen to be swung out and (at least partially) twisted around. Not so hot for portrait format, with only a small proportion of the Arca tripod head being able to fasten onto the L-Bracket rail. But it does work - and it's hard to see how it might be improved for added security whilst still allowing access to the touchscreen. So, it works but a little insecurely.

Sturdy product and fits snugly.
Excellent fit securing Olympus camera to arcs Swiss trips head, easy to change format when shooting. Added protection for the camera and changing battery is no problem. A little restrictive with the swivel back screen. Works well.

so close
this fits the camera well. However I have two tripod clips in which you just move a lever to lock and this unit is just fractionally narrow not allowing the clamp to fit snuggly. this I have had to replace with a screw up clamp when it is fine.

Great bit of kit
Fitted well & has easy access to the battery & connections. This was a present for my girlfriend along with the 3-legged thing tripod, this compliments that tripod perfectly.

Fits the camera well but needs a better bolt.
Whilst the fit of the bracket ,is allowing access to the connectors and battery compartment, the retaining bolt is a poor fit and works loose quite quickly.
