Comfortable and cute costume, super long and baggy sleeves
This is a super cute and comfortable costume that I got to transform me into a hobbit. The fabric quality is much better than any other costume I've owned like this. As others have mentioned, it has a heavy feel but I don't think it will make me too hot. I'm 5'1, 150 pounds, small chest and thick waist/big belly. I normally wear a medium. Based on other reviews, I ordered a size up (large) , and I'm glad I did. It's a little baggy but I think it works with the style, and this way I can layer under it if I ever want to. You cinch it in the back and front, so the bagginess is minimized. As others have mentioned, the arms are long, and I found them also too baggy, but it's still totally wearable--it's just not the most flattering look (other reviews have said it's frumpy, and I agree), but it's much better than having them be too short and/or tight. I got lucky and got the long strings; I saw others' strings were too sort. The strings are crazy long and a little difficult to thread through the loops, some of which are tiny. Overall I think this is a great quality costume that I will hopefully be able to wear many times.

Love it
I bought this for a Renaissance fair. I love it. It is made out of good material. It is true to the size. I would recommend washing according to directions.

Decent quality, size up!
This is really cute and would work well for a Renaissance costume or similar. I honestly just bought it because I thought it was cute. I did have to exchange to the next size up, so be cautious when ordering.

Great Halloween Costume
I am 5'6'', 125lbs. The small fits perfectly. It is better quality than I expected based on the reviews. I am just using it for a costume, though, so maybe it is a bit thin for a daily wear. To be honest, I can't see this as an everyday wear item, it is very costume-ish. The laces came separately in the pack, but it only took me 30 seconds to lace up each side, so that was not an issue for me. It is a bit longer than I expected (goes to my knees in the front), but that's just as well - now I can just wear black tights with it instead of pants :)The only downside is that my husband immediately said 'people are going to think you're doing handmaids tale'. UGH. but that is a 'me-problem'. I'm doing slashed-up, dead little red riding hood.

Big color difference Size odd.
While the page said navy it was absolutely not navy. Blue royal. I got a med thinking room to lace up nicely. Was small around not flattering. If you’re slimmer maybe. Was longer than expected. Small across chest and sleeve went past fingertips. I’m 5’5” 130lbs. Liked look but just not the color or fit for me. Wouldn’t say it was just small or larger. It’s strange fit.

Perfection
This dress arrived exactly as picture here, which as you all know, is not always the case. This dress was purchased for my teen to wear to a Renaissance fair and it was perfect. My girl is pretty small around so I was worried the smallest size would still be too big but the lacing in the front and back allowed tightening and a perfect fit (sometimes those things are decorative so I thought I would mention the laces are functional as well). The fabric is thick enough that it is not see-through but it was thin enough to be the most comfortably dressed elf at the fair. Walking around all day in warm temps with long sleeves and a hood does not sound like my cup of team but she said she felt great the whole time. She also got a ton of compliments on her look. My daughter said she wants another one because they are so comfy, the length of the dress made her feel very regal, and she likes the thumb holes at the end of the sleeves.(The ears and tiara were also purchased on Amazon and were MUCH cheaper than buy at the fair).

Worth the price.
This made a great warrior "Lord of the Rings" Tauriel elf costume for my 15 year-old. I have washed it twice and it held up just fine (did it on cold and gentle cycle, with low dry). My daughter weighs about 120 lbs, and the medium fits just fine. She is very thin and it fit with the strings tied all the way tight, but you could open them up for larger waists. We used a faux leather corset belt and it worked just fine with the costume because the material is thin, but has some insulation to it also. The sleeves are very long with thumb holes (I think that is the look it is supposed to go for), but we were easily able to put faux leather archery wrist protectors over it, and it looks great. I would say it was definitely worth the price. NOTE: It took a while to get here, so you probably want to order it a month in advance.
