Beautiful edition
Beautiful cover and strong spine! Good font size with plenty of notes and character lists! It’s award winning translation by Pevear and Volokhonsky themselves! No complaints from the book whatsoever, its as good as paperbacks come & it’s also floppy! I think we all can collectively agree that there’s no need to review the contents, its the best book ever! Get this edition if you want to start TBK, doesn’t get better than vintage classics!

Masterpiece
Never have I felt so many emotions simultaneously from just reading a book. To only thing I regret is that poor Dostoevsky died before he could finish a sequel…

Review based on physical quality, not content.
It's Dostoevsky's finest work so you know it's good. The review here is rather based on the quality of the paper, which is as expected from a paperback book of this price. Quality of the cover is okay, there was no damage when it was delivered, but few people have received a damaged copy. The paper quality really isn't too bad. It's not 40gsm paper, but it's quite okay. Just a personal note, if you're confused about which version of Dostoevsky to get, get this one. This translation really does capture the original russian writing's VIBES

Immersive psychological drama
Pevear and Volohonsky translation,as one the most respected translation didn't disappoint. Fir the content of the book, book shows the deep and curious observation of the the writers and presented to the readers as a wonderful drama. Quite an interesting and thought provoking book.

no other book can compete with this long masterpeice
you need patience to read this book. one of the best books any english known reader can read... books like these will never get out of your mind. may be we might forget a dialogue or character in this book but we can never forget this book as a whole and the message it tries to convey to us, the same applies to crime and punishment as well. This book is filled with christian fables or bible quotes all over.... so me being a Hindu felt little difficult at times to understand, nevertheless this book is a masterpiece...

essa versão é a mais extensa das traduções, mas teoricamente a mais fiel ao texto original. um retrato de uma sociedade não tão diferente da atual, descrita brilhantemente por dostoievsky

One of Russia's greatest novel superbly translated! Entrancing, lively, diverse ranging from theology to psychology and yet thrilling. Worth reading and rereading.

Don't be put off by the first half, that could seem clunky and contrived. The second half is truly sublime.

This is not an easy book for modern readers because of the obscurity of the Russian era depicted as well as the philosophical underpinnings of Dostoevsky’s novel. It requires a study guide or an outline to fully appreciate, but it’s well worth the effort for a serious reader. Dostoevsky’s portrayal of the three Karamazov brothers and their relationship with their father is one of the great themes of world literature. The two major female characters, Grushenka and Katya, represent the polar figures of women in Russia of that era. It’s standing as one of the greatest novels of the 19th century is undisputed. The chapter entitled “The Legend of the Grand Inquisitor” is a brilliant section that has been discussed and debated since its publication. I have read “BK” three times in my life, and this Pevear and Volokhonsky is undoubtedly the best one. (I listened enthusiastically to the “Audible” version as I read the text. It helped bring all the major characters to life.)
