Buyer beware
Sensor arrived dry. Instructions clearly state that you are to remove cap and discard KCl solution. There was no liquid in cap or in packaging nor any witness marks suggesting a leak therefore suspect this was very old or used sensor. LaMotte does not distribute via Amazon nor do they provide support. Based on the fact the cap was dry LaMotte suggested returning and purchasing from legitimate distributor. Also of note this is very far below MSRP. Buyer beware.

Just don't lead the probe dry out and you'll be fine.
Works as advertised. The key is to not let the probe dry out. Put a small sponge inside the cap with some 4.0ph solution and you're good to go.

Failed Calibration
This electrode would not calibrate at pH 4.0. I tried several calibration solutions, and installed new batteries. The Tracer meter aborted calibration every time. This meter is of no use now.
