Best suet cake
I don’t know how people are giving this product bad reviews. Look at the ingredients “beef suet and peanuts”. Now check out the ingredients on other suets. Corn, proso, even food coloring in some of them! Beware, Lowes, southern states, Walmart, etc. they all carry the same cheap junk. My biggest “problem “ is that the birds love it so much I need to buy it frequently. I remove the hanging seed feeders around mid April but keep this out year round. Currently I’m watching a male downy wooing a female by feeding her this suet. He knows how to attract a woman with a good product!

these are the best suet cakes available
In my opinion, these are the best suet cakes available. They attract a wide variety of birds without any filler...Downy, hairy and red-bellied woodpeckers, yellow-rumped and pine warblers, chickadees, titmice, Carolina wrens, nuthatches, grosbeaks and even the occasional bluebird. I assure you you won't be disappointed!

Pacific Northwest Birds Won’t Eat This
I guess the birds in Southwest Oregon have not aquired a taste for this product. I am experienced at bird feeding and after a few weeks of hanging these suet blocks, there has been almost no interest shown by any birds.I was excited for this mix because it has no corn in it the starlings and other less desirable species are attracted by. I have seen the fall/winter residents begin to replace my summer birds and neither group will touch this product. My nuthatches, woodpeckers, scrubjays, stellars jays, finches won’t touch it. I put one on the ground for the towhees, juncos, doves and other ground-feeders, yet no takers.

Birds will be spoiled if you buy this!
Seems almost all the many birds who frequent my numerous feeders love this peanut butter suet. I have purchased other brands and types in the past which just turned rancid because the birds would not eat it. This stuff flies out of the feeders. The Northern Flickers ( now 6 of them appear daily) Chickadees, Nuthatches and Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers are huge fans.

Waited to Review
I bought this a month ago and waited to review it to see if the birds liked it or not. Well, they didn't like it at all. Even the wood peckers didn't like it, which surprised me. I bought the suet because house finches were keeping woodpeckers, cardinals, nuthatches, titmice, and chickadees away from my usual seeded suet. The peanut butter suet definitely kept the house finches away, but it also kept the other birds away. As a result, I've gone back to the seeded suet. Maybe my birds are different and just don't like peanuts :(

My Wild Birds in Eastern VA Love This
This suet smells so fresh unlike so many others. Many species of birds love these cakes. I often break up the cakes and put them in my smaller caged feeders. The bluebirds, woodpeckers and others love these cakes. Beware that squirrels do to so be sure to hang on a feeder pole that has a baffle or else you will just be feeding the squirrels.I also use Pine Tree Farms Tree Icing which is a good price. I wipe a blob on the feeders and in mounted jars around my yard. I highly recommend both products.

Birds Favorite
This suet was our birds favorite flavor but it costs twice as much as the second best flavor. Titmouse were hard core "peanut butter" junkies. Hairy, Downy, Chickadee, Nuthatch, and Titmouse liked "peanut butter" but would move to second best. Our Red Bellied preferred the second best.

Chickadees and nuthatches love it!
This suet is gobbled up as fast as I can fill the feeders, especially by chickadees and nuthatches. I'm sure the downy woodpeckers will find it soon, as well. Of course, the squirrels love it, too, so I put it in squirrel-proof feeders. Drives 'em crazy that they can't get to the yummy stuff. Who doesn't love peanut-butter? Very pleased with the product. Just ordered a second batch.
