Nice and Space saver

Nice and long-the string did get stretched out after one summer of use-- we left it out in 2 harsh New England Weathers so eventually the plastic casing cracked at the base where it is screwed into the plate that mounts to the wall. This is Plastic, VERY easy to install and use, heavy duty thick cord. holds tight when you wind it up around the base to keep the rope stiff and taught when hanging up heavy wet stuff

It’s a great idea. Easy to install. Seems to be pretty sturdy. But without a lock button, it’s hard to get the line wrapped about the little knob tight enough to keep the line from sagging.

This close line sags after you tighten it. After trying numerous times and tightening it throughout the day, I see the problem is that the cord is too thin to hold firmly in the slot where you tighten it. . The cord slips through. I could hang a few clothes that didn’t drag on the ground but the clothesline itself is just too thin to be functional on this appliance. I would never trust it.As the weather gets hotter, the cord is going to stretch thinner and the situation will be worse. Don’t buy it if you want to be able to hang clothes from this line.

It was easy to install and it works great outside to hang our towels on from the pool.
