Great Product - eliminates squeaks, runs cooler than other belts.
My application was for a 1997 Corvette with 32 K miles (and I can assure you the idlers are in proper alignment) - even with NEW Belts this car has squeaked on and off since new - after trying the Gates and other belts at the usual local parts stores I finally found out about these and when you see the belt it is obvious that this belt is of much better construction compared to the others and unlike the others, stopped the squeaks dead - I Highly recommend this belt.Observation(s) for you techies - if you use a strobe light you can see the belt hugs the drive and driven components much better than the OEM or aftermarket belts and - if you have a thermal image camera, you can see that they RUN COOLER THAN THE OTHER BELTS SO YOU Have to know they will last longer as they are not subject to as much latent heat build-up.There is another simple test you can do and that is - select a location near a idler pulley and carefully record the audio from an electronic Automotive Stethoscope - do this at the same location with the OEM belt and the GatorBack and note that the noise levels are much lower with the GB belt - these belts actually hug the drive components better and have less distortion (whip) when running and I suspect this is why they run cooler as there is less flex and slippage with them.

Also works for 2000 C5's
Even though it says it's not meant for 2000 C5's, there's not that much difference between the belt lengths. Quieted down my chirping old belt, and this one, since it's slightly longer, made install DEFINITELY easier.

It is a super quiet belt
My OEM belt started making noise on my 1998 corvette. After installing this and letting it break in for a couple days it solved every problem i had with noises. It is a super quiet belt. The back of this belt is not smooth like most belts so it grips corvette smooth pulleys way better! I would highly recommend this to any other corvette owner or someone looking for a quality belt.

Belt squeel
I have a 1999 Corvette that had chronic belt squeal. I tried everything including replacing idler and tensioner. Nothing worked. I searched online forums and saw several people recommend the goodyear gatorback belt. This is the same belt but re-named. I have had no issues with belt squeal using his product. Well worth the money!

A must have for any C5 Corvette
Names changed but the product stayed the same. Only belt my 02 Z06 will run without making a random squealing sound once she's warmed up. If you have a Corvette and its making random belt squealing noises you need this belt.

So So
I brought this belt because of all the recommendations on the Corvette forum. Well the belt still chirps a little. It quiets down some when hot but you can still hear the chirps. It's annoying at times. I know it's the belt because when I put the old belt on, the chirping stops. I'll keep it on for a while to see if it goes away after about 1000 miles. It may be alright on some vehicles but not on mine which is a 1998 Corvette.

say good bye to your squeaky belt
I was suffering from the horrible belt chirp as most of you here probably are. So far I have a few 700hp dyno hits, a month of street driving and a couple drift days on this belt and the belt chirp is yet to return.application is truck 5.3, ict billet ls1 power steering alternator bracket, ict manual belt tensioner, with truck power steering pulley and factory ls1 water pump, revving to 7200 with 0 belt issues.

Chirping noise
C5 corvette. Made chirping noise when installed. Made me crazy going through all the pulleys on the engine....after trying everything , ended up trying a new belt (bando). .The bando belt runs quiet. This one is also not a gatorback type belt FYI
