I hope these dry erase pockets will stand up to classroom use. are they flimsy?

They are not flimsy at all. Durable, and they are suitable for classroom use and home study.

How many sheets of paper fit in one pocket?

You can fit several . I have 10 pages in mine.

I think you need to contact Amazon directly for an answer. Either that or try ordering again.

How about the dry erase pockets water proof/resistant?

They don’t close completely so if water got inside it would damage the paper but the cover is water resistant.
