Love this style, not this whistle
Works well, heats water quickly on my gas stove.Whistle turns into a screeching sound within about 10 seconds so I can't give it 5 stars.

Works well but...
Everything is fine except the lid does not fit well. It is too tight, so I usually do not seat it properly, so then it does not whistle.

this item not 4 me
this glass kettle takes 8 minutes to boil 4 cups of water, that's much 2 long, also the whistle is a murmur. my previous glass whistling kettle took a minute or less to boil 4 cups of water, in addition, that kettle's whistle was VERY LOUD. the cost for that kettle was $9.99. like everything else, the merchandise we purchase today delivers less, while the cost increases. (no caps.)

Excellent kettle
nice quality. glass appears thicker than the Medelco.one negative for some might be that the whistle part is not as loud as the Medelco, but I actually like it better.

Uniware Stainless Steel Teapot
I like that it whistles if well capped. I am disappointed that the markings only show 11 cups even though there is more space above that.

Chemical Smell when boiling water. Made in China.
I smelled the top when boiling the water and it had a very noticeable chemical smell to it. The whistling was practically non-existent and the handle got so hot it burned my hand. I only boiled it on a low fire and it took quite sometime to boil. I will not use as the chemicals from the cover do not seem safe to me. Made in China.

Quality Glassware
I prefer a glass teapot to a metal one. This whistler meets my high standards as a tea drinker.
