Excellent Quality Pepper Flakes
These have been a game changer for me. I've always been someone who would buy a couple different bottles of hot sauce a month (much to the chagrin of the other people in the house who share fridge space) but truthfully these flakes have pretty much replaced sauces for me. I had the realization after buying these that most of the time I was accepting the flavor contribution of a condiment as a necessary byproduct of adding heat to my food but that doesn't need to be the case. With that being said, the "Dark and Smoky" bottle is definitely the most flavorful of the bunch and will add a very distinct, savory flavor which I've found to be great in chili and in some stir frys, and the "Hatch Valley Green" has a really nice vegetal flavor that suits tacos and pizza, but the other two ("Can't Feel My Face" I purchased directly from their site) are pretty neutral and can be added to anything without substantially changing the flavor which is great if you don't want a vinegar flavor in your pasta dish or a lactic fermentation profile in something sweet.A small word of caution to those who aren't really into heat: the two people I live with who don't love spicy food can only use the Hatch Valley and, in small amounts, the Dark and Smoky, anything over that is too intense for them. Sprinkling raw pepper flakes on your food after cooking can also feel spicier than cooking with them because you don't necessarily get the heat assimilated into every bite.

Phenomenal taste
I bought these on a whim and am extremely happy I did. They are the perfect amount of taste to heat that I have found. The smokey is amazing in chili or on bbq pizza and the rest are great on everything. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone who likes pepper flakes. They are amazing.

Fantastic flavor, just the right amount of heat
Wow, I never thought I'd care that much about chile flakes, but Flatiron has changed my mind on that. Every single blend in this set is fantastic. The flavors as compared to generic red chile flakes are night and day difference.The Four Pepper Red blend is probably closest to generic red chile flakes, but the flavor is complex and more than just heat. The Hatch Valley Green blend has a nice fresh flavor, and a bit less heat. Hands down my absolute favorite, however, is the Dark and Smokey blend. It reminds me so much of the flavors of mole poblano in Mexican cuisine, and just has this deep, rich, beautiful smokey and earthy flavor that I could add to just about anything (and often times do!).These chile flakes work really well for both incorporating into your cooking as well as just an easy flavor enhancer for prepared or takeout foods like pizza. There's definitely heat in all three blends, but for me it's not overpowering and they're all well-balanced with lots of complex flavor. I'm really glad I bought a variety set to try out all the different blends, and would absolutely recommend any of Flatiron's products to the discerning chef and foodie alike. You won't be disappointed!

Delicious flavor and spice!!
I bought these for my husband and he is a MASSIVE fan! At first, he kind of balked at the price for "just spices" but I went ahead and got them anyway. Let me tell you, after receiving them and tasting/smelling them, the price is totally worth it. You can tell they are lovingly prepared and nothing but quality. I can eat a TINY amount (because I am a wuss) and I have to say the Dark and Smoky is my favorite, followed by the Hatch Valley Green (until I get a habanero...then I am sad)! He puts them on EVERYTHING he has eaten since they arrived. Each one imparts it's own unique flavor to whatever you put it on (so far this has been pizza, steak, eggs, potatoes, pretty sure he even added some to a fast food breakfast sandwich...we even added it to a marinade that called for jalapeno which we forgot from the store). In short: delicious, quality product, totally worth the price, 12/10 will definitely buy again soon because it's going fast!

Versatile & Flavorful Pepper Flakes!
If you like spicy flavor with a kick, these pepper flakes will make you very happy. Unlike the ubiquitous red pepper flakes you see in the spice aisle of your grocery store, these are blends. By blending pepper flakes from different peppers, you get different notes with just one shake, so your food is complemented by different flavor "notes". Herbal, sweet, spicy, sharp, grassy, smoky, mocha and more are flavors you may detect when you add these pepper flakes to your soups, stews, sauces, eggs, pizza, veggies, etc. We like to add the spicier one to warmed olive oil to let the flavors get infused; once steeped and cooled, you can drizzle the oil over anything savory to add a little oomph. I've also warmed butter with some of the pepper flakes, tarragon, lemon, garlic, and extra salt and let cool to make a great bearnaise-style compound butter that is fantastic on grilled meats or scrambled eggs. I recently found a great pumpkin-chipotle hummus recipe and added some of the dark & smoky flakes - wow!! You can't go wrong with any of the blends. Try them - you'll be so glad you did!

A pepper for everything!
This was our first time ordering this product. We like to spice up many things we prepare. This set of peppers allows us to adjust the heat levels and taste. We use on just about everything. Great product!
