I'm glad I didn't review this when I first got it ...
I'm glad I didn't review this when I first got it as I probably would have given it a more negative review. I thought it would be the perfect My Lips But Better shade (all the pictures of other women wearing it suggested as much) but it's darker and more cool-toned than I wanted. More of a 'raisin' and I was looking for that 'dusty rose' shade. I wanted more pink/peach tones and less brown.I barely wore this at first--and then winter hit. My lips chap easily, which makes me bite them, which makes them chap more. Since my lips are also very pale, I end up frustrated looking for the lipstick that can give my lips some color without highlighting every little flake. Up until now, the only option was Almay Liquid Lip Balm in Apricot Pucker--a distinctly orange-coral shade that really doesn't work with 80% of what I wear in winter.I grabbed this in a rush out the door, and only later found that one) it's remarkably soothing to chapped lips, two) the color is actually pretty flattering if not my ideal shade and three) it practically melts onto my lips once I rub them together, hiding every flake. And while it easily wears off (drinking, eating, talking, you name it) it DOES actually stain my lips. Very handy for when I want to switch back to just plain lip balm without loosing the color.I am steadily wearing this down, and will repurchase when I finally run out. I've been converted.

Amazing!
From top to bottom... Sultry (a matte balm), Honey (balm stain), Romantic (balm stain), and Crush (balm stain)I LOVE ALL OF THESE. The Sultry matte balm glides on super smooth and even, and is super pigmented. One swipe and you're good to go!Honey is more of a neutral pink color but stands out just enough! It is sort of like a dusty pink color. Romantic is kind of like a coral- red color. It is not a true red but it's perfect for me! Not too orangey either, just the right hint of coral! & Crush is probably my favorite color by far. It is not the same as the color shown however. The color shown is like a dark maroonish but the color I received is more like a pinkish- purple color. If you look at the stick itself you can see tiny flecks of what appears to be glitter but I don't see that at all when I put it on my lips. All of the balm stains have a pleasant, smooth feeling going on the lips and they have a slight mint smell to them which I love. They don't smell like lip products. I ordered all of these from Amazon and they all came in individual sanitary packaging and I did not have any issues with broken seals or broken product at all. I would highly recommend buying these!!

or lip color that doesn't make my lips shrivel up and feel like they belong on an egyptian 5000 year old mummy ...
I have a hard time finding a long lasting lip stain, matte lipstick, or lip color that doesn't make my lips shrivel up and feel like they belong on an egyptian 5000 year old mummy after wearing them. And then of course, if I tried to moisturize with anything, half the color would wear off or come off.Revlon Balm stain was a chance I took, and I am moooostly glad I did.Pros: Lightly minty, floral scent. No strange taste or aftertaste.Extremely smooth and soft to apply.Moisturizing- it felt like putting on tinted lip chap instead of colorHoney color- Very neutral and natural looking. It made my lips stand out a biiiit more, but not roaringly loud. This is a GREAT shade for going more "natural."It did last long. However, there are a few problems:Cons:Eating. Drinking. (If you smoke, put that there, too) removed the color and it would fade, fast. This lip color isn't for a dinner or night out having adult sippy sips if you know what I mean. You WILL need to reapply it. Just having my usual two-three cups of coffee or tea a day and it would disappear. NOW, if I applied it after and went four or five hours with nothing passing to my lips, it stayed! So, if you want a lip stain to stick with you ALL day through EVERYTHING? This might not be it.Otherwise, I really did like it for it's non-drying-out longer lasting! It was more like a long lasting lip chap though, not a lipstick or stain or color.

Moisturizing and pretty lipstick
I've been using this lipstick since it came out. Unfortunately, it's not being sold in stores anymore. I like the way it moisturizes my lips without feeling like a lipstick. It says in the description that it's a lip stain, but it's not. It doesn't stain your lips at all, so the staying power isn't the same. I love the light weight feel of it without feeling goopy or dry on my lips like alot of lipsticks are. It has a slight minty taste, and the color is light enough to be natural with a boost. I like that you can wind it up or down to protect it too. I'm just sad that I can't find it anymore.

Honey Is a Beautiful Neutral Mauve!
Starting off with the elephant in the room; this product is as far from a "lip stain" as I am from Mars! I don't know what Revlon was thinking when they used the word "stain" in the name, I'm guessing they had no dictionary in the board room that day. Even that's no excuse in today's world because someone could have simply asked Google. That's my rant for this product and truly my only con for it either.Onto the pros! I have the Honey color, and no, it is not the actual color of honey. It's actually a beautiful mauvey neutral. It's quite soft and silky on the lips which lands itself as a perfect depiction of a balm. I used my phone's flashlight to apply it in the dark once and saw that it has a bit of a shimmer in the color and really gives it a more lipstick look. The shape of the giant crayon works very well for lining the lips before filling them in. If you use the side of the crayon to fill them in, you will be able to keep the tapered shape, otherwise you will end up with a fat nub that gives little precision in application. Also, the scent is very pleasant. It's almost like a minty chamomile tea smell that goes away shortly after you apply it. There's no flavor to it, which I prefer not to eat the color off my lips because of delicious lippies! I hope this helps you out. Please click helpful if it does.
