Flawless!! Practical!! And... amazingly Affordable!!!!
We were a little worried, after reading a few of the reviews, but our experience was trouble-free, the assembly wasn't tricky at all (and all the pilot holes and hardware lined up perfectly, the drawers glide in and out flawlessly) although it did take a little over an hour to put it together. My girlfriend saw one of these in the Dick Blick catalogue and really wanted it, but it was over $400!! When we saw the one offered here, for a fraction of the price, we thought - - it was worth the chance to try and put one together ourselves. And it was! If you have a bit of patience, a phillips-head screwdriver and a rubber mallet, these are a truly remarkable value. Solid wood. Practical. Attractive. And worth every penny.

Great piece of furniture!
Recently, I decided to revamp my sewing room. I went looking for "drawer units" on casters. Casters were a "must". I looked at various units of "press wood" furniture (and, over the years, I've had my fair share of "Danish modern" pieces), but after reading the reviews, I really was not comfortable purchasing this type again. Then I found these! I have to say, that for the price, they are a terrific value. I saw several reviews that complained about "holes not being drilled", but actually, this makes a lot of sense, because screwing into the wood without a pre-drilled hole, makes for a stronger attachment! There are a couple of things I would recommend. When hammering in the finishing nails (which are tiny), use a needle nose pliers to hold them! They are hard to hammer through the pressboard backs of the unit and bottoms of the drawers. AND, only use a "screw gun" (drill) if you've had experience and can control it at a low speed! If you cannot control the speed of your drill, screw the screws in by hand. It's very easy to "overdo" and end up stripping out screws. I now have 4 of these units (2 narrow and 2 wide) and have 2 more wide on order. I'm really looking forward to using them for many years!

The one star reviews are accurate, BEWARE! Save your money and look beyond this item.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was asked to order and assemble this for someone else, even after I pointed out the one star reviews. I agree with them. It is real wood as advertised although it seems to be a lot of scrap wood cut and finger joined together. Several pieces were cracked, and, as others pointed out some holes were too big for the dowels. The instructions said if you encounter that problem to contact them and they will send different sized dowels. Who wants to wait for that to happen? I went ahead and assembled it with wood glue, which the instructions say not to do. It is put together and somewhat sturdy but I would not buy one for myself. I have assembled better furniture made from particale board.

Very solid, good value
This is a very nice drawer cart, especially for the price. Most of the unit (except back and bottom of drawers is solid wood and the drawers roll nicely and can be removed easily. It's just a little smaller than expected so I'm ordering the wide version. My only complaint is that nowhere in the description did it say it had to be assembled. Assembly was not horrible but not expected. Putting together 6 drawers is a little tedious.

I'm pretty happy with the finished product, but it was a nightmare to assemble.
I do like this little piece of furniture, so far. I will update here if over time it doesn't stay sturdy. It has one major flaw--no drawer stops. I also don't know how well the plastic drawer rails that aren't even screwed in, just pounded into holes with a hammer, will hold up. My biggest problem, though, is how poorly engineered the whole do-it-yourself assembly process is for this piece. I actually enjoy assembling furniture and am usually pretty prepared for all the adventure it can be. This setup was designed to make you hate yourself--rage-inducing is the term that comes to mind. The assembly of the drawers has you holding two pieces of wood together, lining up a slot on each, and, according to the instructions, using a screw driver to attach the two with no pilot hole and nothing to hold the two pieces together in correct alignment, no dowel or peg or anything. That is ridiculous. The words, "You have got to be kidding me." appeared over my head. I created pilot holes and I used a screw gun and it was still a nightmare. I cannot believe I ended up with what looks to be an okay piece of furniture. The funniest part is the end of the drawer instruction where it says to "check that it is square". Right.

A sturdy little piece
I bought this to hold a printer next to my work at home desk, and to store materials I need close at hand while working. This was a great value - made of solid pine with a decent finish in the areas where it is exposed. It is well designed, sturdy, and a real bargain at the price. I am using it daily. My only two suggestions for buyers are that it is easier to assemble the drawers if you have a small drill or awl to start the screws and that you may want to upgrade the swivel casters by replacing them with heavier ones if you're filling this unit with heavy stuff. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality at this price, and highly recommend this unit. I assume the other similar models are similar in quality and will buy from this company again.

Really Handy Little Carts.
This is the fourth one I have assembled. I really like these little carts. I have sewing items in one. Product directions and and receipts in another. My largest one sits by my recliner and holds odds and ends. My daughter saw mine and ordered one for herself. I'm slowing down as I age, but this last one is finally almost done - and I have somehow misplaced the directions. I did not use small nails to anchor the drawer bottoms to the drawer.. Is this something I still need to do? I have small nails left over.

Like the real wood.
Used for paper and documents mostly. Very solid when assembled. Did not use the rollers as I don't plan to move it around. Like the real wood. Only parts not solid pine are the back board and the drawer bottoms. Assembly is fairly easy but time consuming since you have to put the drawers together, but very happy with it and would buy the wider version if it were available in pine. Has been out of stock for some time now. Not sure why.
