Got this for my 2001 Lexus LS 430. Nothing really wrong with the original that came with the car except the rubber piece was worn. This comes in gold/copper color versus the OEM silver one. I guess now when looking for the oil pan it's dead easy to locate in the dark - LOL! These don't seem too expensive, yet probably unnecessary to replace each 6 months; maybe 24/36 months is better. Seems like it does what it should (no leaks so far) and with no obvious signs of poor build quality. Wish it was silver colored though.

Works great! I see some folks are worried about the Plastic/Elastomer washer holding the oil in the drain pan. Think about this: a screw-on type Oil filter's seal also uses a similar Elastomer and if it can survive up to a year (say, for someone using Mobil 1 full synthetic-15K miles and a matching oil filter) or longer without leaking, this elastomer washer should be no problem too if correctly installed. Just like any elastomeric seals, if too much torque is applied, the washer can deform and fail. The correct way, in my opinion is to finger tight until the bolt is snug + 1/2 to 3/4 max turn. This concept works with o-ring Boss fittings too and it can easily handle up to 4000 psi hydraulic pressure while in a car oil sump, I don't expect the pressure to exceed 100 psi.

Seems to be good quality and it fit my vehicle perfectly at a fraction of what a dealer or oil change store would charge

i installed this oil pan plug /washer kit on my Toyota Prius i bought used. Plug does'nt rust,im in Canada, its always good to have a spare of this in case !!!!!
