unparalleled feel
I use this string with Luxilon ALU power, and the feel is incredible. The pop off the racquet is like nothing i've ever experienced before. I'm a younger plan (30) and i started playing with this string combo about a year ago. Although it's expensive, i'm not sure i can ever hit anything else again. Make sure you get this strung by someone that understands the how delicate the string is, as it frays easily. Also be aware that the strings will break down at a much more rapid rate than other string types.

If you try natural gut, you will never go ...
If you try natural gut, you will never go back to synthetic gut. I was also pleasently surprised with how long it lasts! Synthetic strings may last longer but do not retain playability,

One of the best high end strings, nothing more to add.
There is not much to say - natural gut has been, and still is, the best tennis string available. It is by far the most arm and elbow friendly string due to its elasticity and almost linear dependence of elongation on tension across a very wide range of tensions. It has solid amount of spin and a good level of power and feel. It might not have such crazy level of spin as some poly strings, and might have somewhat less control than stiff poly, but it is arguably the best balanced string in existence. It is the only string that is made from natural components, from cow's intestines. The process of making natural gut strings is quite complicated and time consuming, which explains the high price. You should not get yourself confused with a similarly sounding "natural gut" and "synthetic gut". Synthetic gut is the cheapest, lowest end nylon string. It does not get anywhere close to natural gut in any of the characteristics. The name "synthetic gut" was a clever marketing trick to make consumers think that they can get something close to natural gut for a fraction of a cost. Tennis shops love offering synthetic gut to the customers because it is very easy to string, and it is dirt cheap - about $2 or less per racquet wholesale in materials. Natural gut, in contrast, requires a lot more care while stringing and costs much more. Many tennis shops do not offer natural gut stringing at all - in a way, their level of enthusiasm about stringing natural gut or natural gut based hybrids is a measure of their professional qualification. There are just a few brands of natural gut. The rumor is that Wilson natural gut is made by Babolat on the same factory as this string. Conossiers of natural gut claim that they can feel a difference between brands, I believe it is a second order difference much finer than the difference between gut and other types of strings. If you are struggling with pain in arm or elbow, this is the way to go. If you need crazy spin and crazy control, monofilament poly is for you - but you will put yourself at a high risk of tennis elbow. Hybrids of natural gut with poly is a great compromise, both in terms of arm friendliness and spin and control, and also more wallet friendly.String breakers might find that this string does not hold up too well. For less agressive players, it will last for a few months. One of huge benefits of natural gut is that it loses tension and goes dead much slower than other types of strings.I think everyone should try natural gut at least once! This string is available either in natural color or in black (which is actually more like very dark grey)
