I am honestly surprised to see any bad reviews on this thing! I get it though, a lot of people DO NOT read directions or don’t understand so they give up and say “OH, it’s a P.O.S.!” I’ve driven a lot of beaters in my time. I know how to keep my car on the road and running fine with a little spit, duct tape and love. All that matters here in Anchorage Alaska at 6 AM on my way to work is that I’ve got moving wheels and I can run to the corner store at -23 F for a pack of smokes and a steaming cup of Joe. There are a few things required in your keep the vehicle moving first aid kit. I won’t go into that here but I will tell you that this little jump starter is the best thing since sliced bread. The car I’m driving now has a battery so old and low on voltage that I absolutely must jump start it every time I need to drive. I’ll replace it with a new battery when I can swing 145 bucks without it effectively putting me out on the street, but until then it be this little life saver.It jumps my car literally every time I need it sometimes up to 5 times a day. It has started with absolutely no problem my sons work van, my neighbors truck and on top of that, charges my phone anywhere I need it to. This thing ROCKS. It does exactly what it promises and then some. It set me back 50 bucks but I have saved so much in stress and time. I don’t have to beg someone to jump my car in some parking lot, I don’t have to pay a cab driver or anything else. I LOVE IT. This would make an excellent gift for anyone who owns a car. Great item. One thing I do not like is that the charging display is weird. It’s hard to really know for sure how charged it is. All I know is that I always make sure to have it fully charged by plugging it in every night and I know I have at least 6 (maybe more) jumps to the thing until I need to charge it up again. It takes 4 hours for a full charge and most people won’t use it like I have to right now. Most will just jump their car and it’s done, alternator will charge their battery back up again and it shouldn’t be needed again unless you left lights on or whatever. In my case I am truly putting this thing to a full on work out. Using daily and often.Suggest reading instructions fully. Treat cables well because the plastic casing on my positive cable has cracked due to rough treatment. It’s easily repairable but be careful with them. Don’t YANK out the cables from the jump device or twist and turn to get them out. Pull them straight out. Charge daily if you are using daily.

My battery was completely dead. I kept attempting to start the vehicle and after about 20 minutes I managed to have one light illuminate on the dashboard. Finally called USAA and had someone come out to jump me. The technician said the pack is way too small to actually start a car. He recommended a different pack which has the air compressor attached which is actually able to start the vehicles.It's good for charging my phone, although slowly.Not worth the money. Returning.

I have had the same battery in my truck for 7 years (Duralast Gold 24F-DLG), but is finally fading away. I plan on buying the same, but in the meantime I picked up this Everstart Maxx Jump Starter. It is incredible! No more jumper cables and searching for a good samaritan. It's the size of a 1 lb block of cheese, and only takes as long as it takes you to put the clips on the battery and turn the key. I have a 4.0 6L 4WD with tow package. After two jumps, it was still 100%. I highly recommend. Dual USB, as well as a host of adapters to charge many electronics. Wall plug and lighter plug to recharge. My only recommendation is for a hard case to store the battery and all of the accessories.

I purchased the Everstart maxx Jump starter, model K05 about 6 months ago. I purchased the charger for when I travel. I used it for the first time this week. I had to jump a 4 cylinder vehicle. The jump starter performed very well. It started the car with no issues. The jump drained the Everstart to 61%. I returned home and plugged the Everstart into a wall plug to recharge as outlined in the owner's manual. The manual states that it should take from 4 to 6 hours to completely recharge. It returned to 100% battery life in about 30 minutes. I was skeptical, so I unplugged the jump starter from the wall plug and checked the battery charge level and it was still at 61%. I referred to the owners manual and repeated the re-charging process several times. It still wont charge. Now when I recharge the jump starter, it only takes about 60 seconds to charge to 100%. I am disappointed to say the least. I purchased this unit at Walmart. I do not recommend this product.

Really nice starter.I read few others couldn’t use, but I don’t know how...I started a 4.6 Lincoln Town Car easily..

0 stars in my opinion. Motorcycle battery went dead because of a bad switch. EverStart had 100% charge. LED turns red when I plug it in. Hooked a trickle charger for 30 min then hooked the EverStart up again. This time the LED turned green and attempted to start. Turned over then stopped. Luckily I put my old battery pack on the boat that has worked every time. Can you imagine being out in the gulf with a dead battery and have to use this piece of junk? Don’t buy this item! If it won’t start a bike, how could it ever start a car. It is 92 out today so not a cold weather start.
