This is the perfect entryway rug. It lies flat and isn't too thick, so the door opens easily over it, which means wet or snowy boots stay on the rug and away from our hardwood floors. When we refinished the oak floor several years ago we opted for a "natural" finish which turned out to be not the greatest at warding off water spots.The picture doesn't do the rug justice. I chose the darkest colors available due to its intended use. The lightest color reminds me of coffee with cream, there are lovely accents in browns, reds, and a muted olive green, and the darkest color is a very rich black. The design masks smudges. A definite plus is that it will be easy to steam clean.Three years ago I purchased a nine by twelve Home Dynamix Royalty area rug for our den. It has stood up very well under train tracks that cover the entire rug, doll houses, legos, indoor tents, and an English Mastiff. As others have noted, it's not a thick rug, but it's not uncomfortable, and if thickness is an issue, a rug pad could be put under it. And again, I can clean this rug. I came across a great deal on three wool rugs that are so thick the grandchildren's tumbles were painless but it's going to cost a fortune to have them dry cleaned.The rug arrives securely packed in reasonably thick plastic. You do have to be careful not to cut the rug when you cut off the plastic, but it was pretty simple. I appreciated not having to dispose of a box. When you unroll it, the nap is very flat where it's been most compressed in the center, but it fluffs up nicely within 24 hours. It took about that long to get it to lay flat without weights, too. (I used books on the corners.)When I bought my first rug, the conflicting reviews really confused me. But I took a chance, and I love the nine by twelve rug that I described. However, I ordered a nine by twelve in blue for a bedroom and that one was a total disappointment. It had a chemical smell, the nap was flat, the weave was "cheap" and the pattern looked like it was pressed onto the rug. It had to go back.One last thing. This is just a personal quirk of mine. I do not buy matching rug sets, like the runner and the area rug you can buy together. I like my area rugs to coordinate from room to room but not match. Because of the different colors and sizes, you really don't notice that the patterns in the entryway rug and the den rug are identical.And you can't beat the price.

Really nice rug, very soft, flattens out well, and easy to vacuum! I had ordered the same run in red (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0011VYQ0W/ref=sr_ph?ie=UTF8&qid=1415307352&sr=1&keywords=home+dynamix+royalty+red), which I actually liked even better (the cranberry red really "popped"), but it just didn't go with the room - so I gave that one to my mother (she LOVES it) and got this one. It's on the thin side, as many have pointed out, but truly nice quality overall and a great value for the price. Even at our local "Job Lot" stores, rugs of this quality run twice as much.The colors (at least on my monitor) in *this* picture (on 11/6/14) are very true -- I always shop around (even though I usually end up buying on Amazon), and I thought at first that there were 2 "Ivory" versions of this rug because most of the photos that I was seeing on other sites looked so different. Many show the ivory as very yellowish, and the tan/brown areas as greenish (in fact the picture that comes as part of the the rug's packaging shows it as yellow/greenish). But the rug itself, or at least the one I got, is in warm tans/browns. I'd say the rug is handsome, very "easy on the eye" -- not a focal point like the red one, but one that gives our living room a grounded, homey feeling. I wish they made this in navy, I'd get another!

Well this is the third rug I purchased from this company. I ordered the first one last week- the Black/Ivory rug (approx 5x7 size) and it is GORGEOUS. Heavy, thick and soft. I was SO impressed that I immediately ordered three more (but different styles).. they all arrived in the mail b/w yesterday & today. The brown multi rug (5x7) is also very pretty though the details are somehow not as defined as the black-ivory rug.. but the sad thing is that my rug arrived very damaged due to shipping/handling process which had ripped the bad and badly tattered the edges. The black/cream hearth rug I ordered is very nice. No problems there. But then there is the "ivory" rug.. with not one stitch of anything resembling ivory!!!! I am super disappointed. Not only is it not the right color, it is a dirty-looking "taupe" (I love taupe but this is NOT a pretty taupe.) and the whole rug looks.. well, DIRTY. Since I had to rip open the plastic wrap the rug came in in order to wrestle the rug out of its packaging, I have no means to return it.. and no time to deal with this. :( Plus I have company coming next week and so this adds to my disappointment that 2 of the 4 rugs were less than satisfactory. :( the picture I am attaching shows an ivory pillow next to the rug so you can better assess the color scheme of the rug.***update: by the end of this same day I wrote this review, customer service contacted me a full refund for the damaged rug with no return necessary, and it seems they are also going to send me a brand new rug with fast shipping!! I am update my review to 4 stars because this kind of customer service goes a long, long way "in my book." :)

I must say I was a little skeptical after reading all the reviews , however I ordered them anyway for the side of my bed, wow these are absolutely beautiful rugs....stunning pattern, match perfectly with my bedspread and color scheme. I love them !!! Here's a bit of info, they are thin but feel soft to the touch and they do have a slight chemical smell when you first open them up which if you air them out for an hour or two it goes away. The price is incredible, very pretty and I am pleased with them, they are listed as Ivory but they are more on the beige - dark gold side with some red and brown in them also a tiny touch of green. These are inexpensive so don't expect a thick plushy rug but rather a very nice accent to any room. Well worth the price....I am so happy I took the chance on them.....love,love,love them. BTW yes the ends of rugs are a little wrinkled but those smooth out after a couple of days it not a major issue to me.

Love this rug for our small guest bedroom. It's beautiful, the colours are bright and rich and it is easy to keep clean. Would buy it again!

The carpet is so soft and the price is cheaper than other rugs I’ve seen here on amazon with same size. Worth it!

Has a defect in the pattern ad the one end of the rug is not even was not worth what I paid for sure
