Telling Christina Goodbye

Beautiful book
Trisha Thompson is enjoying her senior year of high school with her boyfriend Cody and best friend Christina, despite not getting along with the latter's boyfriend Tucker. She plans to go to Indiana University with her boyfriend in the fall. But one night after a basketball game, their lives change forever. The friends get into a car accident, leaving Trisha and Tucker injured, Cody in a coma, and Christina dead. We follow the remaining three try to recover from the tragedy one day at a time. This book is a personal favourite of mine. Lurlene McDaniel is a very powerful writer, showing the emotions of the characters. Proving she's still one of my favorite authors.

Times forgotten
As the grandmother of a 13 year old and someone that lost her beautiful best friend and cousin at the age of 15 , reading this book helped me to remember how INTENSE the feelings are but most of all how important it is to have someone to listen and understand. I will recommend that my granddaughter read this book! I hope parents and grandparents read it also!!

Was pretty good
I read this book for the first time when I was 11. After losing my best friend in a car accident I really related to the main character. Rereading this as an adult I still related to her but did find that the ending seems to have a dramatic plot twist that goes no where which was disappointing for me.
