GownTown Striped Short Sleeve Dresses Swing Stretchy Dresses

My quest for plus size fashion has started to settle comfortably in GOWNTOWN. So far I have ordered four dresses and have loved each one...this dress is no exception! For some reason when I tried this dress on I felt like that lady from Mel's Diner (remember that show?). I wanted to tell people to "Kiss my grits!" I felt like ordering a nametag when I bought the dress, lol.The dress gives you that fabulous retro feel that I know I've come to expect for Gowntown...the fabric is a nice weight and give a great stretch as well.I am a true 20W (with hips) and I ordered the 2X. It fit great, like always.

The dress is really comfortable and the material is very nice. I rated lower because the grey white striped design looks really bad! My friends kept joking that I looked like a retro nurse lol I would buy this dress in different colors.

I LOVE this dress. I was actually shocked at what a high quality garment it is. Just beautiful. The fabric has some stretch so it is very forgiving. I also LOVE the zipper on the side. It looks so chic and it is much easier to dress with the zipper on the side. The skirt is so nice and full (at 5 yards of fabric!). It doesn't really need a petticoat, bot I got one anyway just for that little added flounce. I could hang out with Lucy and Ethel in this dress!

Perfect fit!Far superior to the other GownTown dresses on Amazon that I received. The fabric is nice and heavy, and has a slight stretch to it. After a nice ironing, I wear this dress to work, and it makes me feel feminine, but still very professional.Style Notes: The neckline is a little high, so watch it with your makeup, especially under your chin.

Very nice quality! The dress is made very well with careful attention to the details. They did not skimp on the fabric. The skirt is full and beautiful, just like the picture. It runs a little small. My daughter is 5'3 and a size 4. Fortunately, I ordered the "Medium" which fit her perfectly.

This fabric is really cheap. It's thick, doesn't breathe AT ALL, and is really stretchy and unflattering. This will be the hottest dress you will ever try on, want to rip off as soon as possible, and choose to return. I only gave it two stars instead of one because the style of the dress would be decent if the fabric were decent. If they made this dress in cotton I would be on board.Why are ALL of Gown Town's dresses made of this disgusting fabric??? I don't understand!! Gown Town--start making dresses in cotton and then give me a call!!!

Fit was great. I loved the stretchy material. I am 5'3, and it hit just below the knee (which is perfect). Unfortunately the dress was a bit too "Maid in Manhattan", and I didn't want to look like I just got off a cleaning job.

Beautiful dress that fit wonderfully. However the buttons fell off after two wears and the dress is heavy. Overall worth the money as the buttons are an easy fix and the dress is otherwise well made.
