Stuffed with kapok
I hadn't ever heard of kapok until I saw this pillow. I really liked that it was adjustable, organic and non toxic. I wasn't sure what to expect- if it would smell, if the fill would hold it's shape and the softness when laying on it. This pillow was filled and I mean filled. To me, it was way too firm so I took some of the filling out. The kapok is so so soft and feels luxurious. It gets everywhere though. It's like down feathers. The pillow kind of reminds like a down pillow. That night, I felt like my head was resting on something hard, not soft. Being that the kapok is soft and light, you would think that the pillow would feel soft when laying your head on it, almost having a bounce type feeling as some toxic pillows do. I didn't find that to be the case. To me, it feels hard. I tossed and turned that night and half way thru the night, I tossed the pillow down and got my old pillow. I took out more filling yesterday in hope that it would help. Same issue as the previous night. In total, I took out about as much kapok that would fill an 8 gallon garbage bag and still have a bit in the pillow. I did find some grass, twigs, seeds and things in it which I was surprised to find. I would have thought the kapok would have been gone thru better. I really want to love this pillow, but just don't think it's right for me unfortunately. I can't seem to get comfortable with it.

We LOVE our buckwheat pillows.
We stayed at a spa hotel where we were offered a "pillow menu"" which included the buckwheat pillow which changed our lives (not an understatement -- it's easy to get comfortable and I fall asleep quicker and seem to wake up less). Buckwheat hulls are very small outside kernels of buckwheat which I only know from the pancakes. They are soft (a little crunch as a restful sound) and free flow in a pillow to conform to your body shapes. They also breathe in a way foam won't, so for instance, you can put your arm under a buckwheat pillow (as I do when I sleep on my side) and it won't get unmanageably hot. They stay cool, so you won't get unmanageably hot, either. We have both gone from two pillows mounted to single pillow and a lot more comfort in the neck as a result.Couple things: you should place your pillow with the attached pillowcase inside another pillowcase with the zipper inside the case. Trust me...(and don't ask), you don't want uncontrolled buckwheat hulls floating around -- they are tiny little things which fly in the air and land where they damn well please. There are instructions for laundering the outside case so you can attend to the emptied buckwheat (I would probably stick them outside an odorless trashbagck and empty slowly while keeping the pillow covered -- I'm still not sure how I would get those pesky groats back in. I trust them, but I'm going to cross the bridge when we get to it -- according to the literature, the pillows can probably last years without needing to launder if you have the case protected with another case.We now take the pillows with us when we go someplace by car, however these are heavy -- the queen size pillow weighs about six pounds and they are free-flowing inside the case, so they don't stabilize which is perfect for sleepings, but not the easiest thing to carry around unless you're really hooked on them. We are.

Well made, nice materials, much firmer than a feather pillow
I gave this pillow to my husband because I could not sleep with it. I love the cotton cover, and I love the idea of the natural materials, but even after removing some of the Kapok stuffing it was too firm for me. My husband prefers a firmer pillow, and the Kapok is much better than foam stuffed pillows.

Needs more filling!
I have been using a millet hull pillow from another company for a good 10 years or so. I decided it was time for a new one but they are not in business anymore so I got this one. I ordered the king size. I am mostly disappointed because there is just not enough filling in this one! If I spread out the filling evenly across the pillow it is only 2" deep. In order to sleep I have to bunch it up a lot and it is challenging to get it to hold the shape because there just is not enough filling for the case so it moves around too freely. I may have to get some more filling added to this to make it as supportive as I need.

Best organic pillow!
I’m not sure why this pillow got bad reviews. Don’t listen to them. If you are wanting a non toxic, soft pillow...buy these. Pair them with an organic linen pillow case. Perfect pair! I am a wife, I always buy all organic bedding. These are up there with Avocado pillows and I paid $100 each for those! I am buying 2 more after I comment this. I had to leave a review after I saw the snarky ones! If you have an organic lifestyle, these will not disappoint!

my wreak was 6 years ago and pain every night until my first morning after this pillow
I thought 50 bucks for a pillow fist time buying something like this on amazon so i was worried but I've bought probably 30 different ones trying to help but never did. read a review somewhere else went and looked found this company. Soooooo first night i woke up in morning first time in years with no neck pain!!! Thank you. I have bought so many pillows and couldn't find one that would help me. So i got the king size. Pros pain free morning. Could be a con but its not for me, when i shift around you can hear the nose of the shells moving. Also its heavy compared to a cotton pillow, so i toss and turn so at first it was weird but now i have figured it out. Side note my cat loves kneading on me all the time now she uses the pillow sometimes, if i can't find her she's in my room on the pillow. So she really loves it 😂 too so id say worth the risk for a pain free morning. After a week the nose the shells make you don't notice it. So get it if u have budging discs from car wreaks. Also I'm a side sleeper and my arm under is fine. Regular pillow cases need some of the shells removed cause the pillow cases need like an extra inch to fit it. But i just use home ones so maybe the company sells i haven't looked. I think I'm A month in, so its a real review not a one night deal.. i think my wreak was 6 years ago and pain every night until my first morning after this pillow. Hope this helps. Packaging was great too. Just know when you puck it up its not cotton so pick it up knowing its a few pounds.

The best pillow!
Love love love this pillow! I got one for my toddler and now want to get one for everyone in the family. Its the only truly organic option out there (inside and out, not just the cover like other brands) and its so soft and comfy. Zero smells out of the bag and the ability to adjust the filling to your comfort level is incredible. I can’t believe I’ve never had a pillow like that before. They are not joking when they say they ship it overfilled, I removed enough kapok to fill a second pillow, and that’s incredible! I have the extra filling stored in a ziplock bag and will use if/when needed.Highly recommend it.

It's so comfy
It's an amazing pillow. I've heard of the benefits of kapok being dense and anti-fungal etc, and I was tired of those cheap polyester pillows that squish into pockets of nothing and throw my entire neck alignment out of whack... Not with this thing. It's a tank of a pillow. it'll just keep getting denser as time goes by and you can wash the heck out of it without worrying about it squishing together. If you're a fan of dense pillows that stay the same for like, a long long time, this is the one for you. The great bonus is that it's all natural and there are no polyester/plastic micro-bits that sheer off when washing and end up polluting the oceans (a huge problem). I think with this one pillow at this pricepoint it outlasts all the crap pillows I'd have to buy if I did not have this beast. I love it.I did put it in the wash before using it and didn't notice a huge smell as other reviews suggest, but there was the oh so slight wet dog smell for the first month or so that I found quite comforting but, alas, has now went away and is now just pillow.

Good night sleep in yrs.
For the first time in three years i had a great sleep. Woke up and my neck was not sore ( i can't move due to pain).Bought a very expensive pillow with memory foam ( memory because i woke up in so much pain ). The hulls are clean and no bad smell. If you have neck pain from a bad pillow try this pillow. It was not crunching when i moved. Thank you sooo much for this great pillow. The best six hours of sleep ( slept through the night ) i've had. Nooo pain on my neck.

Love this pillow
After doing research online to find a natural pillow, I came across this one. This pillow makes me excited to go to bed every night. It is so comfortable. There is zero smell as previous reviewers mentioned. The ability to adjust the stuffing would come in handy but as a side/back sleeper it is pretty much perfect. It is pricey for a pillow, but totally worth it so far.

Helps with the support.
Wish the cover of the pillow was sturdier. Seems kinda flimsy. It did help my arms which were getting numb from other pillows each morning due to a nerve pinching in my neck. So, it does serve the purpose and I like to use it. Can form desired shape as buckwheat is very spreadable, grainy.
