Cicli Bonin SMP 4bike Glider Saddles

This is a remarkable saddle - solved all my issues! I bought a new bicycle 2 months ago and have ridden it unusually heavily by my standards (over 1000 miles) since then. I have tried 6 different saddles on this bicycle; with each, I had substantial problems with numbness, pain, and aching over subsequent days in the seat (perineal) region. (On my prior bike, which I rode less often, I frequently had numbness and discomfort, although not as severe as with my current greater mileage, and had come to regard this discomfort as "par for the course"). On the advice of a another experienced rider, I tried the Selle Glider. When I first installed and rode it, it seemed unusually hard, despite the padding. I then realized this was because all of the pressure is concentrated where it should be - on the ischial tuberosities ("sit bones") - with no pressure on the central tissues. I have now ridden with this saddle for over 300 miles, with NO episodes of pain or follow-up aching. Moreover, the numbness that I thought was normal with long rides has essentially resolved - I only experience mild numbness with very long rides or when wearing riding shorts with inferior chamois. Aside from its effectiveness in doing what it claims to do, the saddle is well made and handsome on the bicycle. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Not as good as I had hoped for the price but very good for distances

I balked a little at the price of this but since I passed 50, I have had increasing saddle comfort problems on long rides. So I decided to try it. It took a little getting used to but after I got used to it, or it got used to me, I think it's the most comfortable saddle I have owned, and I have tried many. There are a couple of websites, including one from Selle, that you should check out before choosing which size and style SMP saddle is right for you. These saddles are very well made and light. The big center cut out really works to keep pressure away from areas you don't want it. Past saddles I have tried with narrower cut outs did not work so well.

I used my bike seat Selle Italia Prolink Gel Flow which claims to be the most comfortable, but it is totally false. I really was permanent discomfort and irritation on my genitals.So I decided to buy Selle SMP Glider and I changed my life. Now I think I'll sit on a cloud. I strongly pedaling long distances and do not feel any pressure in my pelvis or my genitals.This seat does what its name promises: I feel I'm riding in a glider, literally sitting on the air.I recommend this seat. This is my 2nd Selle SMP Glider Saddle, so what does that say about them. Great quality and comfort. They do look like a medieval torture devise, but are in fact far from that. I can ride for 3+ hours and feel no discomfort what so ever.

Uncomfortable seat, but very well made

I am very satisfied with this seat. The seat greatly reduces pressure where needed, (particularly for an older man who is one step away from prostate surgery for BHP). I believe the seat would be a safer bet for both men and women of any age who want to lessen the risk of nerve impingement in the soft tissue areas. The seat does an excellent job at supporting the seat bones and enabling greater support for generating power to the pedals. I highly recommend this seat for those looking to eliminate the numbing effect and uncomfortable pressure of traditional bike seats. I am glad this functional and unique bike seat design is available. The premium price is worth the cost.

Nice but, not worth the price. I have gone back to my 45 dollar Selle saddle and like it much better.
