Good for a small area but...
I bought 2 of these for a 10x10 shed and they work good as i use this shed as a workshop for welding and cutting to vent all the fumes along with all windows open. Obviously they are not powerful like a big fan but they do what they suppose to for a small area. For every 5x5 area one is required. *** They won't turn on when you open the box unless you outside and turn the switch on and off to activate the battery*** I though they were broken but work just fine. If you are planning on using this in a house or big shop , this is not going to work. Update: it’s been over a year and they are working just fine still , I just had to add 4 other ones to keep up my welding fumes out so in my case if you have a 10x10 shop and you cut or weld , you either need about 6 or About 4 bigger solar attic house type. I wish I would’ve known before ☹️ Instead of spending almost 600 dollars In 6 I could’ve spend about $300 For 4 bigger ones.

Not very good quality think twice before buying or do your own alterations
Hi this is an up date on my first review of the produce. I have a 50'sailing yacht and wanted to keep air moving while the boat was not being used. I installed 2 on the cabin top to see how the would work. There are many design faults with it. The first being when it rains they leak badly. Solution put bead of silicone around top lens. 2nd problem solar lens is to low so has shadow effect for half the day and fan does not run. Solution I put spacers under the solar panel which bought it up for better sunlight now starts up on sunrise. 3rd problem air flow very bad the grey fan blade does not work the vent only works to extract air. Solution just use white extraction fan. 4th problem the solar panel can not charge and run together so battery is a waste of time I have sunlight all day long over head. Solution forget battery charging only direct sun works. 5 problem. Bad design air flow restricted with bottom guard so little air passes through. Solution I cut off guard so better air flow. 6th problem fan blade to small 1/2" on each side of the creates vortex so bad airflow. Solution I inserted pvc pumbing reducer and covered with fly screenmesh which also acts as a guard. I have bought 5 of these solar vents when they arrived they where next to useless but with some redesigning I have made them work. Hope this is helpful to the supplier and buyer's they just need some redesigning

Tiny Office Ventilation
I installed this 3-4 days ago, so far so good!I didn't really know what to expect when I bought this, definitely some mixed reviews. The look of it is perfect for what I'm after with my tiny office. It's 96 square feet and the back end of it faces the sun. Prior to purchasing this vent the interior of the building would get hot and muggy by 10 AM... and it's winter! Literally, you'd walk in and your glasses would steam up.Install took about 10 minutes. It actually took me longer to find a bowl in my kitchen to use as a template for the hole than it did anything else. I made the hole using my reciprocating saw... then went outside and used the 3 screws provided to mount it to the exterior siding. Run a bead of caulk, done and done. (When we finish out the interior I'll insulate around the vent, use a small piece of circle ductwork, put drywall over it, and cap it off with a cover.)I installed it at dusk so I wasn't surprised when it didn't work right away. But when I went out there the next morning the space was noticeably less muggy even before the little fan kicked in much. By mid-afternoon, you could really feel the difference. I don't know what it's rated for... but in a 96 square foot tiny office, it's doing the job so far.The fan itself is quiet, I wouldn't say "silent." But I think after the drywall and insulation it should be pretty dang quiet.I'm giving it 4-stars because I'm just not sure how long this thing will last. The cover has a chrome finish, but nearly everything else is plastic. The battery pack, the fan motor, etc... all look pretty cheap. I'd be pleasantly surprised if it works longer than a year. But out of the box it works just fine and I really like how it looks/works.

The fan is nicely constructed and looks great on my coop BUT…
The fan was easy to install, I used the cardboard insert from the box to create a template for the hole. There were no mounting screws included with the product. The fan spins continually when the sun is directly hitting the solar panel but does not work if it's the slightest bit cloudy. The battery only lasts for about an hour when fully charged, contrary to the description page. It does not seem to move very much air at all, the coop is 32 square feet and the fan makes no discernible difference in temperature. The fan and inner-workings are plastic, which isn't a problem in itself but they seem a bit fragile. I would suggest not installing the product until you have charged the battery fully and then run in low light conditions to see if it will work for your purpose. The product does not meet my expectations based on the description from the product page and I would return if it wouldn’t leave a gaping hole in the wall of my coop.

Not too impressed
The fan sometimes wouldn't even spin with full sun on the panel. The battery pack broke away from the panel due to the heat. This is meant to be left in the exposed heat. Design should be better. Amazon did refund me.

Less than 1 star save your money
Product arrived with scratch writing in the box like they were doing inventory at the warehouse on the box, upon opening it the solar panel was detached from the unit, and the cover was so scratched that there’s no way this thing could charge even if it wasn’t broken. And the best part is trying to return it they are going to charge me for return shipping. Save your money, I’ve bought plenty of ecoworthy stuff now and it all seems to be sub quality.
