Since I only purchased this digitally I can only speak to the fact that I wanted the words to the songs and I am not ably to zoom them in an read them. The stories are wonderful and I love that. If I could read the words I would have given this a 5 star.

These great hymns take me back to my childhood when life was perfect and church was unquestionably the place to be on every Sunday morning. It was a time when everyone sang to the to[ of their voices and brought Heaven down to bathe us all in His love, to a time when everyone who helped to shape me as I grew was still with us.

This is a wonderful book, the story's are inspirational, some of These great hymns have wonderful touching storys. I have been singing most of these songs most of my life, and never knew the story's that inspired them. Loved it.

Wonderful book! I lead worship at a senior's home, and we did a service last week where first I read the hymn story and then we sang it together. They loved it! It is wonderful to hear the story of how the hymn came to be- it makes it more personal. And when you then sing it the words take on all the more meaning. I highly recommend this book.

Great history of hymns. Terrible binding. I wanted an exchange, but had to ship it at my own cost since a UPS drop off location was not available in my area. I will just keep the book.
