My 5th Vehicle to Install this on
I have two Ctek Chargers, Both over 15+ years old and still work good as new. Just bought a new 2024 Ford and installed this for charging. If you use the charger on a somewhat regular basis and your battery will last a Longer than your memory. It would be nice if the cable was longer than a foot, (never been long enough, Ctek saved 5¢) but it's easy to splice on 2 feet to have this reach outside.

Great Product
This product is a fantastic find! It's reasonably priced, making it accessible for most budgets without compromising on quality. The product is exactly as described, and its usefulness cannot be overstated. I've found it to be incredibly practical and efficient in meeting my needs. The attention to detail is impressive, and the performance is on par with more expensive alternatives. If you're looking for something reliable, well-made, and at a fair price point, this is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Adds a convenient way to monitor and charge the battery on my fun car
This is a great way to keep an eye on the state of charge on a second vehicle that only sees occasional recreational use. I installed mine so that it sticks out from the openings in the grill. In this way, I can see it when I walk by and plug it into the charger without even opening the hood. Great convenient and practical product.

Indicator lights not accurate
My wife's 2004 Honda Accord with a one year old Sears Die Hard Gold was completely dead after sitting unused for nine days. I got a jump start from my insurance company's auto service and then started looking for a battery charger. I settled on the CTEK Multi US 7002 12V Battery Charger from Amazon. I also got the CTEK 93-56-382 Black Comfort Indicator Eyelet which allows quick connect and has an indicator for battery condition green - good, yellow - needs charging and red - no charge. Since this car is not driven enough to keep the battery charged this will help me avoid the afore mentioned dead battery problem in the future. The charger preformed flawlessly. I set it to Normal mode. It went through all of the charging steps - 1 Start, 2 Bulk charging, 3 Absorption charging and 4 Pulse maintenance as delineated in the owners manual. I don't know precisely how long it took because I left it connected over night. And, the bottom line, the car has started every time since charging. There are many on line reviews lauding this charger as well as those on Amazon. I am very pleased with it.The accuracy of the CTEK 93-56-382 Black Comfort Indicator Eyelet could be better. If it is red I clearly need a charge. It goes to yellow too quickly and consequently drops the green light too soon. I have concluded if it is yellow I probably do not need a charge, It does afford a very convenient connection for the charger however.Frank CampPotomac, MD

Easy to install, well worth getting the comfort indicator variant
I have one of these in every one of my cars and they are a saviour. Nice and easy to check battery status with the LED, but do double check the size of your battery cable bolts so that you don't end up with the wrong size.

Power consumption and color thresholds
I was interested in what the current draw of this unit is, and I wanted to know what the thresholds were for the colors. I set this up with a variable DC supply and a Fluke 8060 and a Fluke 83 to measure the current and voltage. Ambient temp about 60F, and the Ctek was purchased March 2022.3v Faint red glow 650uA3.5v Faint flashing red 680uA spikes to 730uA4.3v Bright flashing red 740uA spikes to 850uA12.39v Flashing red 1.21mA spikes to 1.9mA12.40v Flashing yellow12.63v Flashing yellow 1.22mA spikes to 1.9mA12.64v Flashing green14.0v Flashing green 1.32mAThe momentary current spikes were very hard to read due to the quickness of the spikes and the slow nature of the digital meter, I would take the spike current measurements with low confidence. There appeared to be no hysteresis, i.e. the thresholds were the same whether the voltage was rising or falling. I did this same test on a Ctek 56-564 Comfort Indicator Pigtail and the thresholds and currents were virtually identical. Two questions, what do you think of the current draw and what do you think of the thresholds? For the draw, if the Ctek Indicator is on a battery that is used regularly or is left on a maintainer then there is no concern, but this isn't very useful in that application. More likely you'd use this device on a piece of equipment that sits for extended periods and you'd monitor the color to get a sense of when the battery needs a maintainer. 1.2mA over the timespan of a month is about 0.86 Amp-Hours, probably not much of a consideration on a full size (car) battery but maybe significant on a smaller battery such as you'd find in a powersports application. As for the colors, I was a bit surprised by the green threshold being as high as it is. I've always thought of 12.6v as being about 100% charged, so now I'm a little less concerned when I see yellow instead of green. If you found this Helpful I'd appreciate a click - thanks.

Time Saving Connector
If you have the charger then this is an excellent accessory. The charger itself comes with 2 attaching cables (one hard wired & one alligator clamp), however, the built in battery status lights is a great plus.I have purchased an additional one to put on my second vehicle for ease of moving the charger between cars and always having the battery status indicator connected to the vehicles.
