Comfortable, Durable Keyboard with Beautiful Lighting
This keyboard really exceeded my expectations. The keys feel smooth and comfortable to type on, and the RGB lighting adds a modern touch without being too bright. It’s perfect for both work and gaming, and best of all, it feels sturdy and stays solid on the desk. The key response is fast and accurate, and the additional multimedia controls make everyday use much easier. It’s definitely a great purchase for anyone looking for quality and good design.

Looks Perfect! Could not be any happier!
I had to take a break from my job to write this because I am just so impressed. I am NOT being compensated by anyone for writing this. Short Version: It's well built, heavy, and the keystrokes are very smooth. The keys are quiet, not silent, and are lit up very nicely. It has greatly exceeded my expectations, and I will be actively recommending this to my family and friends. Long Version: So I've only used this keyboard for about an hour and, unless it suffers some type of catastrophic failure, this will be the only brand of keyboard I buy ever again. Immediately after picking this package up off of my doorstep I could tell this was a heavy, well-built unit, unlike my previous keyboard. Tangent! My last keyboard was purchased from another online retailer that maybe more specializes in computers and Black November sales. I was used to the standard stock keyboards I could get for $5-10, and that was fine. I decided to make the plunge into gaming keyboards, but quickly realized lots of them do not get good reviews or look any different than a cheap keyboard with lights behind it. I didn't want some cheaply made unit, so I tried to spend a tiny bit more for a nice one. However the one I paid for was very lightweight, cheaply made, and wobbly. I am in the process of returning it. I'm also currently arguing that this was defective as well. Hopefully I can avoid the restocking fee, but even if I can't I am so happy I made the choice to come to the more trustworthy Amazon to find a better unit. Ok, got that off my chest. This unit is so sturdy, so smooth, so bright, so...I am so relieved I have found a good keyboard. There are different lighting modes that make the keyboard fun to use, but most of all, it seems very functionally sound. I paid $40 for this, and if I knew how much better it would be than my previous keyboards, I would've paid more. Now there could certainly be better keyboards on the market. They better be at the prices some companies charge. For the price though, this was an excellent deal. You will not be disappointed in this purchase, especially if you have previously dealt with the cheaply made light up keyboards. Is this a perfect unit? Maybe actually, but a couple things are intially making me rate this a mere 99/100. At first glance I wasn't sure why the keys had their "shift alternatives" right next to the regular output. The semicolon/colon key and the apostrophe/quote key look a little confusing at first glance. Not a big issue, but it does seem weird. The other thing I noticed was that the keys are higher up than my previous, flatter keyboard, perhaps due to the heft of the unit. I don't think this is a major problem, but the wrist pad I'm expecting to arrive tomorrow may end up being a great complement to this keyboard. If any of my thoughts change, I will update this review. For now though, HyperX is going to be the first place I go to when I need new PC components.

Indestructible great for people who spill their drinks and game!
I spilled water, coffee, and tea on this keyboard all of which didn't break this guy, I even went as far as to put it into the shower and wash it off because the coffee was sweetened and would ruin the keyboard (sticky caps can die! Also I didn't know I could take off the keycaps at the time) Anyway, in fear that I drowned the keyboard, I took off the keycaps and knocked the water out, and let it dry for a week. To my surprise, it still worked! Really one of the most reliable keyboards I've gotten. Even better it's a lot quieter than my previous keyboard and the response time is good as well. The quality is good enough for anyone to use and has a lot of non-gaming features that make it one of the best keyboards I've used in a long time, mainly the media buttons, and the multiple different colors and patterns. Key takeaways The water resistance is great. This keyboard is quieter than most keyboards. The media buttons are a very nice touch. Some things I want to see from Hyper X in the future! I wish there could be an ultra-quiet version of this keyboard that would send this over the top and I would be ecstatic to buy this is great for people who like to game at night and for people who hate the sound. I would also like to see a keycap remover included in the box as well since that would make it easier to clean as well. Compatibility with other keycaps would be an additional plus nice as well so people would know where to buy alternative keycaps as well. I think the RGB feature should have an easier color-changing method since unless you read the manual most people wouldn't know you can change the solid color. If this keyboard were marketed to be less for gaming and more for anyone you could replace the gaming mode button with this as well to be used this way.

Fantastic keyboard with some issues
Before I start, I am coming from a history of generally awful keyboards. Free ones from work or with pre built PCs. This keyboard feels so much more expensive than it is. I got it for $36 and bought a 2nd one within 24 hours of using it. The good: vibrant colors for the RGB. Rock solid build quality. Feels like it's solid metal (it's not). No key cap wiggle. Every keystroke is sturdy and deliberate. Keyboard is fairly tall and perfectly lined up with my rosewill(from newegg) wrist rest. Rightly woven braided cable that won't shred easily. Keys have a slight rubber texture and it makes my autism so happy. The bad: this keyboard is MASSIVE. check the specifications before purchasing. It's taller than my old keyboard, wider and has more depth. It's also quite heavy for a keyboard. The lights are needed to see the keys, black on black was an awful idea. The lighting control options are solid red, various rainbows and some breathing colors. It sucks they push you to download the software. Over all I'm in love still with his keyboard and buying a 2nd one while it's still on sale. This keyboard plus the hyper x cloud core headphones I've used for years has made me really like this brand.

Excellent Quality!!
First thing you'll notice is this thing is heavy, it will not move around your desk! It reminds me of the long gone 1980's IBM PC keyboards from back in the day that were heavy as bricks. The keys are pretty much perfect height as I returned Red Dragon and Corsair membrane keyboards because the keys were just a bit too low for a man's larger hand/fingers. Pretty quiet keypresses, not silent, but way less than the clickty-clack of mechanical key keyboards. Now I don't get complaints from another room when I'm typing at night. Speaking of night time, the key illumination only has OFF-MEDIUM-FULL lED brightness levels. Medium brightness happens to be perfect for me (I was a bit concerned about only having two brightness levels), so your mileage may vary there. You can turn the key illumination off with a single dedicated button that controls the illumination level, but the letters are not white like a non-illuminated keyboard which makes them hard to make out without illumination. You will probably find you'll just leave illumination on all the time, it's really gorgeous anyway with illumination. I can type at full speed with this keyboard, no issues with hitting other keys because the tops of the keys are decent size. I really can't find anything I don't like about this keyboard. FWIW- my use case is I'm an IT guy, so all typing, no gaming on this keyboard. TLDR: Goldilocks membrane keyboard... give it a try, you can always return it if you don't like it.

Great sturdy multi color backlit keyboard with all controls onboard
I rarely post product reviews but this is the best keyboard for my purposes that I've used. I tried both the incredibly expensive logitech MX keys, and the reasonably priced G213. I find the logitech keyboard controlling software to be cumbersome and poorly executed. I'm not a serious gamer but I do like colored keybaords and this one does the job precisely the way it should. All the many lighting functions are on board and the instructions are clear enough that I had it doing what I wanted in under 5 minutes without the need for intrusive software. Physically the keyboard is very sturdy and easy to use and although it is a minor thing, I like that the cord projects from the middle of the keyboard as opposed to one side, making it easy to slide it inobtrusively under my monitor. Highly recommended!

Quiet and beautiful
I'll start by saying i was looking for a quiet keyboard. I hate mechanical keyboards so if im saying its pretty quiet, you should believe me. Maybe it's not as quiet as a flat laptop keyboard but its not bad at all. I love that I can have a customizable RGB keyboard without it being a loud ass mechanical gaming keyboard. Its awesome picking the colors I want throughout the 5 different sections. I highly recommend this. I will say the instructions on how to change the colors were not helpful at all and I pretty much had to figure it out on my own. There's no app that will work to change the colors, you must use the mode button and then the function + F keys. *It must be on the right color mode if you want to change colors* Like I was trying to figure out how to change each section (1-5) of the keyboard to a different color but it wasn't working cause my mode was on the single color if that makes sense. So hit the mode button on the top left until the keyboard is lit the way you want, then use function + F1-F5 keys to cycle through different colors. Hope this helps someone!

Solid keyboard, worth the money.
This keyboard is full of great features and the typing is enjoyable. The weight of the keyboard feels solid, so I have confidence it is built a bit more sturdy. The controls of the RGB lights are easy an intuitive. You can disable the windows key, which has been set since the day I received it. I am using it to type right now and I am very happy with it. What gaming I have done with it is just fine. I am not a FPS, high intensity player. This will be brand I purchase any future keyboards from. When the RGB lights aren't on, you can't really tell which key is which unless you are directly over it or using glare. Of course, that won't matter in most cases, just a detail.
