Spectacular!
This is a super cool old school straight razor! Made in the USA which adds to the appeal (to me). Great wood handle and smooth action opening and closing. I bought this as a back pocket carry. I don't shave, haven't for almost two yrs. I have a full grown beard. Bought this as a novelty and to use as a light duty "open boxes and envelopes" knife and as I said as a unique carry knife. I mean who else do you see carry a straight razor as pocket knife?Blade is all one piece as opposed to the removable/replaceable razors. Made from 440 steel in the U.S. Looks good, came razor sharp (no pun) and smoothly polished. Love it!

It is not sharp at all and can't be used even like a knife
It can't be called a razor... It is not sharp at all and can't be used even like a knife... It is absolutely useless because is unable even cut your skin and there is no talk about your beard... With all that the construction of the razor is totally wrong and I received a razor without a so called wooden part....

Well made razor
This is the kind of razor few men know how to use properly. Sharp enough to give a great shave, but not something for guy who trys to shave on the run.

Kind of cool, but you can't shave with it.
It's WAY to dull to shave with unless you have the tools to put a new edge on it (probably less than 20 deg, vs. 23 -- please correct me if I'm wrong) and then sharpen it to an actual razor edge. The fact that the item title uses the word "Knife" put my expectations low to begin with, so I'm not bitterly disappointed. Overall, it's still cool looking and can cut as well as any quality pocket knife. Since the price was relatively low, I'm not sorry I bought it. None the less, you should know exactly what you're getting before you buy this thing.

Bad blade -- Nice handle. Also, New Updated Information.
Junk, the stainless steel is poor quality for a straight edge razor. Very hard to obtain and maintain the razor's edge, and I have ALL that is needed to sharpen anything -- as a machinist. The blade lacks the carbon contain or the blade was not hardened and tempered properly -- to achieve the proper hardness. But I do like the handle piece, which I will use for another blade.Okay, it has been awhile since I posted previous comments. I have found the handle is junk and the blade is not too bad in quality, but it does require TIME to set the bevel and equalize the bevel on both sides of the blade. Then, you will achieve a very fine and sharp edge. However, I will stand by my statement that the metal is not the best for straight razor use, but it works and you can't beat the price. Finally, I ended up remaking the razor; instead, I reused the blade and remade the handle assembly. I wish I could include pics if possible; the straight-razor looks and works good now.

Decent pocket knife, not really for shaving.
The scales on this knife are great, beautiful wood and well put together. The blade is a different story. The grind is skewed such that the blade is wider at the heel than it is at the toe. The "razor" was sharpened from the factory to a pocket knife quality edge. Even after extensive sharpening I still don't quite have a good bevel set, and I'm skeptical that the steel will even be hard enough to hold a razor edge useful for shaving. Bottom line is, if you want to shave with a straight razor you'll be much better off buying a low end Dovo, which will be properly ground and sharpened from the factory and will be made of proper razor steel. As a pocket knife this knife isn't bad.
