16yr old picky min pin loves it
UPDATENearly a year later, and we still use this with every meal. The vet said he is doing great as a 17 and a half year old dog, and he's maintaining better weight and muscle mass than she expected! We have had to change his food several times over because he would just stop accepting to eat it, but he still loves the powder gravy! ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧~I adopted a horrendously picky 16yr old blind & deaf miniature pinscher. He has very few teeth left and the teeth remaining are a disaster. His previous owner(s) evidently did not take care of said teeth; thus his breath has become a lethal gas and he cannot eat anything tough, crunchy, or cold. Full-sized kibbles are too much for his teeth, but too thin of food and he hacks and coughs trying to eat it. So, he struggles to eat consistently & maintain weight. Now, I really mean it when I say this dog is picky. He cares where his french fries come from and will not eat fries from specific restaurants. McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, Burgerville fries are all rejects. Local steakhouse fries are sometimes acceptable. KFC fries are never refused. This dog has PREFERENCES and he will starve himself if those preferences are not abided by. He doesn't care for peanut butter. He won't eat lamb or any type of fish. He refuses most treats. After having him for 7 years, we discovered that he seems to like malt flavor... which is not exactly an easy flavor to find for dogs. I used to wonder if I adopted a cat in disguise because all he seemed to want to eat was cat food he stole from my senior kitty when he thought we weren't looking. I genuinely spent years trying food after food to find one that he will eat somewhat consistently.I have never met a more picky dog in my life. It's bewildering. All that being said, my old man LOVES this stuff. I mix it with hot water & mashed potato flakes to thicken it into a lil old doggo gravy, pour it over his normal chopped meatball kibbles, and he is putting weight back on! With his age & size, I was extra worried about him losing weight since a 10lbs dog doesn't have much to lose, but this meal powder has been a relief! A literal lifesaver! He has snubbed his nose up at other nutritional supplements and judged me with his sassy little eyebrow dots in the past, but with this meal enhancement, his lil old nub starts wagging and he spins and prances and jumps in excitement for breakfast and supper. It doesn't only help with weight, it boosts his appetite too!Plus, my pooch has a VERY sensitive tummy and this does not give him any problems!! I always love me a product that does not give my dog the runs. Any day I do not need to dig out the carpet shampooer is a great day.The only caveat I can attest to is that the scoop included tends to sit at the bottom of the container; so you have to dig it out. We just used a measuring spoon until we unearthed the included scoop about 3/4ths of the way through the container.Even though he's only 10lbs, we give him a full scoop each meal (directions = full scoop per 25lbs). One scoop is 14.8cc, which is about 1tbsp. For a 10lbs dog, that would be 2/5ths of a tbsp, but who has tbsp measurements in 5ths?? So we will just do a half tbsp.Hopefully this will help anyone with a dog under 25lbs trying to figure out how much to give their pooch.Once he is back at ideal weight, we'll adjust the amount accordingly. It would be nice if it had measurement increments for dogs less than 25lbs, but it's a small inconvenience for the health of a beloved lil old man.

Just, wow!
My 11 month old chocolate lab was dubbed, “Noodle” because that’s exactly what she looked like. She’s a tiny little thing born as a bottlefed runt from a large litter. Despite high quality dog food with high protein content & feeding her twice a day equally 5 cups, it essentially was over feeding what her little digestive system couldn’t tolerate. She’d have the runs & accidents. At the same time, she was still a skinny noodle. The vet wanted her to be on expensive supplements that promoted gut health & high protein content. I did it for a time but any vet prescribed product is costly. So I tried this, along with a tablespoon of plain yogurt mixed in her food. I started the quantity of the suggested amount small & gradually built up the amount there as suggested. After a couple of weeks, wow! She is down to 3 cups of her kibble a day, along with this powder & her plain yogurt. She looks incredible! She’s been on it for a couple months now & no more noodle! Her body mass is perfect! Her coat shiny! No more diarrhea or accidents! No more acting like she’s starving! I’m really impressed with this product. I brought her in to the vet for another checkup & told the vet what I decided to do. And she even said she looks great, like a different dog & to continue with what’s working! If you love your dogs like I do, it’s worth the purchase. I was so hesitant but the results of her appearance were evident. Her underdeveloped digestive system & body weight is finally caught up with the how a dog of her age should be. Just be cautious not to overdo the recommended amount.

Works but if you have a XL breed it will put you in the poor house
So I have an English mastiff that is a little ribby. I definitely noticed a fast difference after he took this. He’s also a little picky, and this helped him finish his meals as he seems to really like the taste. It also helped his bowels a bit, his stool has been looking a lot healthier.I likely won’t purchase this again. They want one spoonful per 25 lbs. so my dog is taking 7 scoops a day. This tiny bottle won’t last 3 weeks. So at the price range I’ll likely look for something cheaper but at least I know the ingredients work. There is creatine in this product so I assume his weight gains will fall off as soon as he’s off of this product. But if your dog NEEDS to gain weight I do imagine this would be a helpful product.

Haven't noticed improvement
The product says to use 1/2 scoop per 25lbs. I dug through the jar and couldn't find the scoop so I had to guess. About halfway down I dug some more and scoop was in very bottom. Was same size as I was using only it had a longer handle which helps get the powder out.Pup seems to not mind the taste of the powder on his food but doesnt exactly love it either. I haven't noticed any extra growth or muscle on this pup and I've used 2/3 of the canister. I have raised 5 of these Cane Corsos from pups and growth rate is about the same as without this product. I may continue to use for six months to see if there is any measurable gains above their normal growth. I feed raw chicken, beef, and turkey as well as high protein kibble and supplements.I will revise this review if I see any results but for now I don't notice a difference. The price is high on this product and so far I would recommend satin balls instead along with a good diet.
