Humidification Jar Black (4 oz.)

I have been using some of the original HUMI-CARE jars before they went to this ball bearing style and have absolutely loved them. They absorb distilled water quickly and do their job very well.One thing to note. Do not be fooled with the amount of balls that are in the bottom of each jar. When you add in distilled water the balls will expand considerably. If you combine the jars together and then add the water you will come back to those enlarged balls all through your cigars, and it may even happen without combining jars together.I recommend starting with 3 of the 4 pieces filled to the first line, just below the cap, with water and let them expand fully. You can then use the 4th for any of the ones that expand outside of the other ones.If I were going to make any sort of complaint in regards to these it would be a double edged comment. I wish the caps fit a bit more snugly to keep them from popping off during expansion, but that would also make it extremely difficult to refill with additional distilled water going forward.

I use these with Boveda packets and they both compliment each other. Both extend each other’s moisture content. Seems as though I purchase less Boveda packets but you decide on your own. The beads last forever as far as being able to hold moisture year by year. I fill them probably 3-4 times a year. Don’t have to purchase new beads as often.

Great hydration for your cigars. The fact that it can be split up means you can get more even hydration and save some space in your humidor.

Good: They work. Consistent 72% after several weeks. Divided into 4 wedges, so you can figure out best use of space. Just add distilled water and they're ready to go after a short wait. Pretty amazing how long they last before recharging.Bad: It's hard to make efficient use of the space in a rectangular humidor with anything not mounted to the lid, and while these are better than a single round jar, it's not as easy as you'd think to use these wedges. Mine are lined up along the top, but you have to keep them 1/8" or so away from the wall for the lid to close. Maybe these would be better in a bigger humidor or something.

Best humidification I have seen. This item works well and keep my humidor at perfect humidity. Initially fill in increments because the humidity balls expand 10x their size.

The product does what it is supposed to and keeps the humidity in my 100ct humidor at around 71 depending on how many cigars I have in there. The four section design is great and I separated them into four corners of the humidor. As stated this is a 4oz jar (not sure why they tell you what an 8oz jar can humidify). When separated into four sections they do have a tendency to lean slightly but it doesn't cause and problems. I used it with distilled water not the PG solution so I'm not sure whether or not that will change your experience. Overall a good quality product.
