I was a little on the fence about purchasing this because of some of the other reviews. BUT I'm so glad I did!This recipe journal has so much more than just a place to write down your recipes. Meat temperatures, when produce is in season, etc. I included a pic of the contents just so you can check it out.Unfortunately, like others have said, the paper IS thin. But I just use a regular ole pen and it's not bad enough to bother me. I included a pic that shows how much the pen bleeds thru the paper just in case.This journal includes 2 ribbon like bookmarks and easy to get to sections. The sections have more than enough room to write the whole recipe down and all around its just a really sturdy, nice looking journal. Definitely would recommend!

Similar to many Moleskin products, this moleskin recipe notebook was designed in Italy. The Italians choose the color scarlet. I love this choice of color because the protective scarlet cover is so easy to identify among many other cookbooks lined up, side by side, on the kitchen self. The interior is thoughtfully designed, with information that I will use. The paper is yes, thin, however I have no trouble using my black "Pilot Precision tip Rolling ball pen" (several dollars for three at Amazon or Target.) I will write my secret recipes in this book to pass on to my loved ones. Very happy with this purchase.

I had the old edition all the way back in 2014-ish, but this is the one! As you can see in the pictures there is a big difference in size as in papers, what got me that the new one has more information that are related to the cooking (and a page for you info in the beginning which the old one didn’t have) there is some similarities of course, and i truly LOVED the way you can write you recipes as the old one gives you a small space but this one gives you a whole two pages LINED! so excited to start writing my recipes (you can notice that my older edition of the product still in a good condition all and all, so i believe this one will survive as well)Happy cooking y’all

Elegant, luxury feel. Sure I ou vould just use a pad or something, this feels more archive quality.

I have multiple cookbooks that I can't bring with me when I travel for extended work so this helps me condense recipes I use. I have a digital recipe doc but I don't always have signal to open it up so this book will also help with that. The pen I have been using does have faint bleed through on the paper but I can imagine that a pencil or regular ball point pen will be fine. The sticker sheets have tab options which allowed me to change appetizers to miscellaneous. I don't use the wine pairing option but it's there for others who are into that kind of thing. So far I am happy with the product.

I bought this to give to someone I work with as a hostess gift when I was invited over to dinner. They are gourmet home cooks, so I knew they would already have wine and flowers set for the dinner, but I wanted to bring something. The journal is nicely packaged and made a very welcomed gift.

I love this recipe book, it is very easy to organize and write in my recipes. There’s a really helpful written section about cooking basics such as different knives and pans, crop calendars, and different temperatures to cook foods to achieve textures and flavors. It is a hard covered book but the only thing is the pages are vulnerable to getting damaged when in a backpack.
