Sliding Patio Door Handle Set for Milgard, White

Perfect fit all hardware included, just what I needed.

Very similar design and seems equal in quality at the original Milgard handle that it replaces. Much nicer than the Prime-Line handle which is clearly inferior quality.

Overall, feels and looks quite nice. However, no 5 stars since you do have to tap holes into the handle or else you risk destroying the screws or even the handle. There is no way that it would last long if you just force it in like that and let the threading of the screws tap the handle for you. And also, why work yourself so hard by forcing it down, with the risk of stabbing the glass or any part of the door. Use a 4mmx0.7 tap to make it happen, and the included screws will go in perfectly without any resistance. This would very likely fix the durability issue that a couple of reviewers have had. Manufacturer should have tapped the holes as part of the manufacturing process. This piece is sorta on the pricey side, so it really should have been done. Otherwise it should be more like <$40 rather than $68+.Also since a bunch of reviewers are stating that they are replacing a broken/defective one, mines was bought because a dumb tenant tried to change it out since the lock was allegedly stuck and threw out the $150+ set including the keeper. I believe their "friend" who they hired stole it for their own use and put in a garbage $35 spring claw-like thing instead, while also destroying the panel for the dumb claw mechanism which wouldn't even work because they didn't measure at all. Cost me $130 to rebuild it like the way it was before :(

I bought this to replace the worn out handle on my Milgard sliding glass door. It fits perfectly and was easy to install. However , even though it’s the same style it is not as thick as the original version that came with the door.

This handle is not as sturdy as old one but will do the job and the fit was perfect went together great, very happy..

It was a perfect replacement for the existing one

After carefully researching this product, checking all measurements provided against my product, the purchase was completed. Product arrived on date promised. Previous door handle had come loose and screw covers would not come off without destroying them. New handle came with additional mounting plate making the assembly more rigid. instruction sheet was clear and concise. The only thing added was loctite blue being added to each screw. Finished product looks like it came with the door, it has yet to work loose (Grandchildren just visited and were in and out constantly) and if so the hidden screws behind the handle can be removed to re_tighten the assembly. Very pleased with product.
