Should be 1/4" npt threads and use your own air chuck to connect to the proper size hose you are using

Can this be used for thinner metal like body panels and floor boards on cars?

It takes off welding scale. I have used it to remove old, hardened grease around U-joints. I have used it to remove rust off my Bush Hog movers. I would move carefully on lighter metals. It doesn't cut, the pounding needles just dislodge the rust or crud buildup. Mine does a great job.
