Great backup as well as gift giving at a great cost
Bought for our bug out bag and power outages that we experience in the hills. No regrets with this purchase. I am considering getting several more to give as gifts to our kids and neighbors.

Wick too short for quart jar
Disappointed in the size of the wick. The listing tells all about the size of the lid, but doesn’t specify the size of the jar. I assumed these would fit a regular mouth quart mason jar, since that’s the standard size jar and I had a million of those lying around. The wick is sized for a pint mason jar height, though. Luckily, I had a couple of those, but I was planning on using all 4 of the jar lids. It’s possible to use a quart jar, but the bottom 1/3 of the jar would have to be full of fuel to even touch the wick. Would be better if it came with a longer wick that could be cut down to size.

Perfect DIY lanterns
The media could not be loaded. Wick is absolutely the perfect length for pint jars with the standard lid. Note STANDARD lid is what some refer to as the narrow mouth jars…. NOT WIDE MOUTH! Know your jar size folks. This was the perfect solution to our mosquito problem on our patio in the early mornings when we are outside with our pup. I love the simplicity and functionality. Easy to assemble if you follow the instructions (wear gloves, the wicks are fiberglass. If you have more than a quarter inch of wick burning, it’s too much. Assemble you jar so that the wick touches the bottom of the jar and it’s perfect. THE WICK DOES NOT NEED TRIMMING…ever. If you use the correct type of fuel the wick isn’t burning, the oil is. Yes the wick turns black, but it’s NOT being consumed.

just stick them in a mason jar
just stick them in a mason jar with some tikitorch fluid or etc and bam! Instant party. Good lights. I used three of them with mosquito fluid and it lasted for like 24 hours. We were pleased with it and liked the little lid to put it out as well.

Was disappointed with the "standatd' lid size. Ends up being smaller than described.
Love the idea. Just I have mason jars and the lids will not fit. I have to purchase the very small ones for it fit.
