First time user
As a novice user and first time using an actual blade, I found this to be well-made and sturdy. It does take some practice to perfect, but the quality is evident. It’s a bit on the heavy side, but that’s likely due to its durability. Overall, a great product!

Smooth, quick and quality!
Finally made the switch from using disposable multiblade razors and it’s the best decision I ever made. Won’t go back to them ever, single blade is the way forward and with a safety razor it’s even easier! Quality is this so far is good, it’s held up really well. No signs of damage/ rust and doesn’t seem like that will be an issue anyways. Can shave quickly and confidently now knowing a fresh single blade has smoothly taken everything off rather than having to go over parts like I would need to do with a disposable razor due to it getting clogged with hair. Definitely would recommend you to make the switch and not only that, you’ll save so much. All you need is one of these and a pack of blades which are dirt cheap and you’re good to go for literal years

Classic, and a superior shave.
In these days of multi-bladed, flexing and swivelling, plastic razors (with and without vibration motors), it is very easy for the uninitiated to think of the classic single-blade razor as old-fashioned, even potentially anachronistic. In truth, however, these are the razors you grow into, not out of.The number one cause of shaving rash is heavy handedly dragging a blade multiple times over the same patch of skin because you didn't get it right in the first stroke. Those multi-bladed razors were all designed to do exactly that, to allow multiple passes of blades in a single stroke - each blade after the first increasing the stress and abrasion to the skin. Furthermore, all those spring-bladed, plastic headed multi-blades allow an unskilled shaver to get the job done - without learning to shave lightly. Those multi-blade razors actually encourage going heavy-handed, and causing additional skin damage and shaving sensitivity.A classic, single-blade razor, such as this Wilkinson Sword Classic, is actually one of the best shaving tools ever designed and made. It takes a little practice to learn the perfect angle to hold to the skin, and you can nick yourself with the blade if you are careless enough, for certain. But a little practice and you'll get a good, close shave every time with the least possible damage to the skin, and the least shaving rash of your life. Moreover, you'll save an absolute fortune in blades, and for the environmentally conscious, the blades you discard can be fully recycled as they are pure metal, easily melted down and reused. This razor features a cool 'butterfly' mechanism for loading and unloading the blades, where you simply twist the base of the handle and the top opens up to allow very quick, safe changing of blades (you should always handle the blades carefully of course, by the safe edges, not the 'live' edges). Quick and easy, and very practical. For the best results from a razor like this, I do recommend getting a proper shaving brush to lather up as this both lifts the hairs and helps hold them more rigid so that one stroke with the razor gets a good smooth result. Highly recommended for those men ready to learn to shave properly, or those who dislike shaving rash.

Does not feel very well-made
I'm not too impressed with this. It does the job, but's somewhat poorly balanced imo, the handle being too heavy, and the screw action to close the top over the blade needs a very firm twist to ensure it stays tightly closed and the blade doesn't rattle around.
