Retail Business Kit For Dummies

I saw Rick Segel speak at an industry trade show this Summer and really enjoyed his seminar. He mentioned the book and being on the cusp of venturing into retail it seemed like a great idea to buy and read it. I am happy to say that it has been VERY VERY VERY helpful - i think the DUMMIES in the title really means that you are a DUMMY if you do not buy this book. Heartily recommended to all budding entrepenuers!

This book was full of useful information. Well written and easily understood. It has alot of helpful hints and ideas. It comes with instructions to use the CD in the back of the book for ideas and forms. My book came with a BROKEN CD. I have contact the seller via email times two and I have no response. So now I have a book full of ideas and a BROKEN CD where I can not use the ideas!!! Highly disappointed.

Because of this book and it's great information I decided against buying a business that had a bad reputation with it. I am so glad that there is so much information out there if you look for it. Your books are hilarious but true and I'm happy I made the purchase and did my research before I made a huge mistake. Thank you.

This is a great book for all entrepreneurs, start ups and veterans. I recommend it. All entrepreneurs should read it all the way through.

Great, easy, informative read. Absolute must for anyone new to retail! Proven techniques, history and credibility. Highly recommend this book.

Would have been nice if the CD was with the purchase.

This is a good basic overview of retailing. It also serves as a good checklist of things to be considered when you're starting up a retail business. The frustration is when you want more depth on a particular aspect of retailing e.g. marketing then you will have to look elsewhere. But don't let this put you off, for someone thinking of starting their own retail business this is a great help.

It was clear and gave me a starting point did not entirely answer the question I had but suspect as it was merchandising question I needed a more specialist text
