***ADDENDUM: THIS PRODUCT REVITALIZED, AND SAVED US $100 FOR REPLACEMENT WHEN MY WIFE'S iPadAir AUDIO JACK STOPPED WORKING AT ALL. SPRAYED IT AND SCRUBBED WITH A LOLLIPOP STICK=Turned out that it was merely OXIDIZED, NOT DISCONNECTED and that prevented adequate contact. THIS product fixed it in two minutes, and SAVED us the $100 EXPENSE!!***Best product EVER for old, staticky, crackly, dirty, or oxidized mechanical electronics--i.e. potentiometers, rheostats, switches, slides, etc. No need to bathe the target part, just a brief spray INSIDE through any access point--a vent hole, or even around the shaft/moving part (sometimes a second application when one when is needed.) Then operate the component part quickly--back and forth--from one end of the range of motion to the other a few times, and you should be golden. For REALLY badly dirty parts: those that seem as though you have no choice but to replace them, wait a day and try it again about 24 hours later...sometimes the corrosion needs to sit in this stuff for a while to get full penetration. If this doesn't help you, you really have NO choice but replacement of the troublesome part.

This worked awesome to clean the volume knob (rheostat) on a tube amp that I have. I was experiencing some popping when I adjusted the volume. However, after a couple of coats of this (and turning the knob back and forth through the full range of motion), the popping was gone--DeoxIT removed the corrosion with no problem! Great product!! I'll keep it on hand for other metal-to-metal contacts that may become corroded.

It is great, but you get like 7 sprays out of the thing and it is done.

I have an old (ancient by electronic standards) Jukebox MP3 player that I love. The wheel switch that controls music and menu selection started skipping wildly making it hard to control. Tried this, and it worked magic! A few squirts worked in, and the wheel switch was like new. Every 4 or 5 months or so, I have to spray it again, but so far it does the trick.

DeoxITGOLD in combination with DeoxIT Cleaner are a GREAT combination for cable connectors, computer connectors, etc. to assure maximum performance of the connector. The two together have resolved MANY issues for me that might have otherwise resulted in money being spent needlessly to replace a component when all that was needed was an effective cleaning of the connector, etc.GOOD STUFF!

Perfect for older electronics cleaning. I used it on a 20 yr old Yamaha receiver. Brought volume control back to 100%. It works!

Deoxit is the best electronic parts cleaner I have ever used...and Ihave used different products for over 50 years. As a retired Chief Radiomanon Submarines, cleaning radio switches, pots and parts was usually donewith denatured alcohol...although the pressuried cannister would not beallowed on subs today the pump-spray would. Spray it on, it cleans andevaporates leaving no residue.

Gave new life to my old hi end Denon amplifier with intermittent controls.
