Beautiful shawl, woolen, warm, soft and intricately embroidered.( I must have missed that the shawl was either preowned or defective.)After it arrived, I first noticed one area of tear and then as I looked closer it had many other damaged areas, like the one in the picture. It also had strong smell of kerosene or another such cleanser.

This pashmina is pretty, but I had expected that the wool would have a bit more "heft" to it. It is all but see-through.

I think this product deserves a review, so I'm taking the time to leave one.Ever since I saw the movie, Chocolat, years ago, I've been looking for rare shawls, the kind that are truly embroidered instead of stamped and are made of gentle wool and not polyester. This shawl is all this and more. It is simply more beautiful than the photos provided by the vendor are able to show, and certainly more beautiful in reality than my photo (though I did my best). I paid $80 for it, and I think the value is exceptional. I know that this shawl must be dry cleaned only, so I'm treating it with care...not letting my dogs near it, that sort of thing. But other than that, it feels so light and so gentle against my skin, that I forget it is there, and yet it does keep me warm. The embroidery is very beautiful and looks handmade, though for this price, I'm sure it was done by a machine. There are no flaws that I can see, no threads coming out or anything like that. I find that the delicate floral motif throws so much color up at my face, the way certain garments can do somehow. So, in short, I recommend this to a lady who likes to wear feminine, unique items.
