Perfect fix for my Whirlpool washer
What I assumed was a problem with the motor/transmission connector turned out to be a fried clutch in a Whirlpool washing machine. Although there are a few steps to get to and replace the clutch, it's nothing that can't be done with a few basic tools and a quick search of YouTube. Worked perfectly after replacing.Diagnosis - if everything about the washing machine works except for spinning (water pumps out but drum does not spin) this may be the cause, especially if it has become progressively more frequent over time. If it sounds like it's spinning but you open the lid and it obviously isn't, the clutch is the main suspect. If there a different spinning noise, it may be the motor/transmission connector (an easier repair). Search YouTube for both issues.

Blue, Dark Blue, or Black
So the product says it comes with blue and black springs, and that the blue spring is factory installed. What received was a bright blue spring and what I thought a very dark blue spring. Maybe I'm more blind than I thought. I assumed that the very dark blue spring must be black. But then that was the spring that was factory intalled. You got me whether I got the right one installed or not. There's no phone number or much of anything in the instructions, if that's what you want to call them. Actually more of a parts list. It's working though, so I assume it's okay.

I would NOT buy this product again.
I would not buy this product again. I have done this job with another product that lasted years longer.I installed this clutch in the washing machine. It worked great again, FOR ONLY 2 WEEKS, then, the clutch failed. It is an old washer, and I had replaced the clutch a few years ago, so, I know I did it correct. It is not the easiest job, wash room was too small, had to pull washer up stairs, and outside to have enough room to work on it.The plastic pads were completely gone, the clutch failed. This was built from defective material. The last clutch from a different supplier lasted over 2 years.

Not a Genuine Whirlpool Part
Thought that I was getting a genuine Whirlpool/Kenmore replacement part, for the difference in cost between this on and the replacement from Sears I should have know it was too good to be true. And sure enough the clutch failed after only 6 loads, pads completely burned out. And its not the fault of another component being bad either as I also replaced the Spin Tube, the Transmission and the agitator dogs. The spin tube assembly comes with a new brake assembly as well as another clutch, I should have used that one or at least saved it for a spare. Have bought the OEM one from Sears and so far it is working great.

Do not waste your money.l
Do not waste your time or money. The clutch pads are plastic and melt/disintegrate within 1-2 months. Believe the reviews - buy a better part. Ours lasted just over a month before it wore down enough to stop spinning the tub altogether. The OEM part appears to have ceramic clutch pads, this has plastic pads. Don’t waste your time or money.

Don’t buy it. Slipped on the first load of laundry.
After receiving it two days late I Installed it exactly how I was supposed to according to the directions(or lack of) and tons of YouTube videos. The clutch slipped on the first load of laundry with the recommended spring. Tried the other spring hoping for different results and it still slips. Waste of money. 100% unsatisfied and would not recommend.

OEM is better
this after market (cheapest) replacement clutch only worked for 6 loads or so then failed. i replaced it again with an OEM clutch from a local mom & pop appliance parts dealer. it was around $30 w/ tax and so far so good (10+ loads ). i wouldn't buy this unless one simply wanted a quick repair to sell an otherwise functional washing machine but that's never cool. hope this helps!

Works perfectly on Whirlpool LSQ9030PQ1
As the title says, it worked perfectly on my Whirlpool LSQ9030PQ1. I was having issues with the spin cycle and even the agitation cycle seemed a little sluggish. The coupling wasn't damaged so I disassembled to check the clutch. After replacing it with this, it's been working like a charm.
