Oasis Concepts All Wood Flip and Fold Desk, Natural

I LOVE this desk. It is sturdy, mobile (important for me), and provides sufficient space for my 15-inch laptop w/stand, Jawbone Big Jambox speaker, mouse/pad, phone, and still leaves a sufficient writing/hard copy document area--absolutely IDEAL for my needs. Not only that, the desk looks nice. No, it doesn't match my other decor, but I'm more interested in function than fashion when working.I work from home and am limited on space. My initial itent was to fold this desk every day and tuck it between a chair and the wall when finished with work. I don't do that for two reasons:1) To flip the desktop, I'd require more room space than I currently have. I can do it (obviously, because I'm using the desk), but doing so every day would require more moving other furniture around and would be a hassle. I researched the tables dimensions (desktop is 40 inches wide and 24 inches deep), but didn't really factor in the "flipping" requirement (doubling the necessary "depth" space).2) The desk works so well, I've made it a permanent fixture. This saves me time every morning vs. having to "set up" my desk. All I had to do was add a task light and, voila!, ideal workspace in place.One warning: The box the desk arrives in is very heavy; it's VERY well packaged and a slight, weak, or disabled person might need help with it. I'm disabled, but I managed to get the desk out of the box. But there was NO assembly. I just had to cut the binding straps on the desk, unfasten the latches, unfold the desk and "flip" the desktop. Assembly could not be easier!If you're wondering about the bottom shelf, it is sufficiently recessed so that it doesn't bang my legs. It holds a dictionary, along with pages once I finish editing them. The bottom shelf is a tad over 10 inches deep.I highly recommend this desk. It was VERY pricey, but was exactly what I needed, and I'm very satisfied with its construction, convenience, size, and versatility.

It is hard to rate this desk because I like it and I don't like it that much. Mainly because I have to buy a small wheeled cart to put my printer on. Some pictures made the bottom shelf look deeper, so I thought maybe the new printer could fit on it. The box looked old, but it was packed very tight and safely. So, I was afraid it may have been old and the box made it seem heavier than it really was, even though it is not light either. You do have to watch out for fingers being caught and I did not read directions first. For now, I just have a radio and modem on shelf. Of course, by picture shown, the top is nice and thick. I may buy a good desktop computer, so it had to be strong. I was disappointed when I read two things! You can only put maximum 80 pounds on top and 30 on the bottom shelf, which does not sound like much. Also, I was wondering why I could not stand it up straight after taking out of box and roll into bedroom. It must be stored against a secure vertical surface when closed up, as they say. I would have designed the cart a lot better and not being able to roll the heavy thing when I move, is crazy! It rolled a little, but kept wanting to fall over. You can roll it when it is open and locked, but for protection, I would prefer that it be closed before going on a moving truck. PS: Keep the directions in case you have to close it up for any reason.

The desk is sturdy and convenient in that it folds for storage. I will say that it is heavy which is nice when being used but a bit difficult to manage when trying to fold it. It comes fully assembled--something to be appreciated--and ready to use out of the box. My desk came with a couple of nicks but was well packed. My biggest complaint is that one of the side locks that holds the desk closed when being stored does not work and does not line up with the bolt that it should be latch onto. This makes it very hard to keep the desk in the folded position.

Very good construction and idea on a foldable desk... wood is solid and nice finish. Size is perfect for small spaces and for eventual moving or transporting is perfect. Good leg room enough even for a tall person.The only downside is (if you're a perfectionist...) is the screws are uneven and some not flat flushed to the wood and hinges. Not a lot of room for cables,small electronic devices such as modems,external hard drives or just anything you might want to keep near the desk...Only the necessary space for a couple things to work with.This is my computer desk and is good enough for my imac desktop, 2 small speakers, small brother label printer and lamp.The low shelf holds the apple express airport and cable modem that sit comfortably along with a power strip with a bunch of cables... and of course, the desk is stationary.. with the locking little paddle on every wheel, it doesn't move at all...Love this desk!!!

This is a very well made portable, all wood desk. Not at all flimsy. Nice color tone.(Walnut) Nice size. It arrives very well packed. Unpacking takes a bit of effort, but it is well worth the effort. Unfolds easily. There is nothing negative to say except that there is no weight limit noted in the description. The folding/unfolding printed instructions included do say maximum weight limit on top is 40 pounds and 20 pounds maximum on the bottom shelf. The item I placed on it is 41 pounds so it should be okay. However, I would have liked to know the maximum weight capacity before I ordered it. Otherwise, I love it.

We had been looking for months for an extra table for our kitchen and we are very happy with this one. Even though this is a desk we just roll it out from its space and use it as an island in the kitchen. When we got it, all we had to do is unfold it to use it. It is very sturdy and solid. I keep my Kitchen Aid mixer on it as well as other randomly used appliances like the blender and vacuum sealer so they don't take up valuable counter space. Our paper shredder fits underneath too. I would Highly recommend this product and when I'm in the market for a similar product this is the go to company for us in the future!
