I preordered this back in July. This is my first comic book and I'm so happy its based on one of my favorite horror movies! I've been flipping through it and the graphics are made well, the pages are colorful and smooth, it has that spooky vibe to it like you would expect, and it's just made well. Its a thick hardcover so it would definitely keep you busy! I'm very happy with this book and look forward to reading it! You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful book ruined by poor packaging
I absolutely love Trick 'r Treat and was super excited about this book. I don't know about you but I prefer my books in good condition; no bends, scuffs, scratches, etc. This hard cover is so scratched and scuffed from it not being packaged properly it completely ruins the covers. Most books like this come in a plastic wrap but this had none. I know this might not be a big deal to most people but I cherish my books and for one to be so damaged that you literally feel every single scratch is horrible. I really can't keep it, and I'm not sure I'll order another one based on the condition this one is in. I've been waiting forever for this book to be released too...

The Perfect Halloween Comic Book!
If you haven't seen this movie, go do yourself a favor and add it to your Halloween viewing list.Trick 'r Treat is a collection of 5 intermingled tales, a connecting anthology. It focuses on twisted tales of horror but they all seem to have a connecting spirit in the name of Samhain who even plays a large part in the final story. The comic changes some details from the movie, but mostly art changes. Now that that is explained, this comic contains the comic version of the movie as well as the Trick 'r Treat Days of the Dead comic that was released quietly years ago. Days of the Dead is a collection of four stories by four different artists. Seed, Corn Maiden, Echoes, and Monster Mash. These are all "prequel"esque stories about things Sam had been up to throughout the decades. This special hardcover edition comes with a collection of sketches and art in the back.Beautiful cover art and an awesome foreword by the Writer/Director Michael Dougherty.Cannot wait for Trick 'r Treat 2 to finally come out.

Lovely book
I love the graphic novel, and have nothing bad to say about it. But if you care at all about the quality of the product, be sure to contact Amazon and insist they use packing material. At some point, the packers (or likely their supervisors) decided certain items did not require packing material, even if they are tossed into an oversized box and bang around in there throughout shipping. The corners were all blunted due to this. Be warned.

They edited some of the best parts from the movie!
This is a really toned down version of the movie Trick R' Treat. I suspect the main audience for the book version was for children. However it makes no sense to remove the best parts because there are scenes of blood and gore. My example here is part two of the movie and of this graphic novel. The kids knock on the door to see their liquiord up neighbor is having a wild party. Once the door closes the kids are bewildered but rather than the only kid stating, "Coach Taylor was in a Hotdog costume, butt f***in' a pig; they decided to change it to "That was Coach Taylor in a Gorilla costume deep-throating a banana." Both are speaking graphically yet the original line from the movie was funnier.

For the Love of October
What might look like a big, shiny double dip to people who own the softcover editions of these books is actually worth every cent. If you've never read any of this you're in for some bloody Sam-centric delights. This fresh, larger edition features a creepily beautiful new cover by Christopher Shy and a new introduction by Michael Dougherty. A really gore-geous collection for fans of October things, Sam and all his tricks and treats.

A Must-Have for Trick R Treat Fans
Trick 'R Treat is a niche market and is already a cult classic. Now I have the sequel, Days of the Dead and have read it but I wanted to have the collection for Trick 'R Treat. If you want the first release of those comics, it'll set you back hundreds of dollars. Personally, this is a much better buy. The illustration and story telling on both accounts are magnificent. I could go on and on to convince you to buy this but if you're already a fan of the series, then you know you have to have it.

The spirits dance here, on Halloween.
Every autumn, we are transported to the reality Bradbury called The October Country. This is the transport I'm taking to get there this year, and it's the best one I've had in awhile. For fans of the film, and just those who like the season - get this book and join us dancing with the dead.

The Days of the Dead won't let you down
Few days ago I bought the book containing just the stories from the film and I gave it a very bad review. But this one, the Days of the Dead...WOW!The stories are new and original! Much better graphic and the you can actually feel the spirit of Halloween 🎃If it wasn't for the first boring part I wound have given 5 out of 5

Trick ‘r Treat!
I was so stoked when I found this omnibus! I was always gutted that I missed the original run of film adaptation, so when I found this I was made up! The whole book is beautifully presented in a hardback cover and the artwork and stories does not disappoint

Beautiful but slightly damaged.
Beautiful comic book slightly let down by what appeared to be excess glue on the edge of the pages resulting in several pages being stuck together and creating minor damage!
