Timberland PRO Women's Titan Waterproof Boot

I love these boots. I work 12 hour shifts in a nuclear power plant. I'm on my feet on concrete all day. I've tried many different brands of work boots, and they each hurt my feet. After searching on Amazon, I decided to try these. I have worn these boots at work since October, working 36-56 hours a week. Some days I have walked more than 10 miles in them, according to my Fitbit. These boots are more comfortable than my tennis shoes. At the end of my shift, my feet aren't nearly as tired as they would be with other shoes (even tennis shoes). Even after walking 10+ miles in a day, my feet don't hurt when it's time to go home. They are warm enough to wear in the winter, in snow or ice. My feet have stayed dry no matter what I've walked through. They have not started to show wear anywhere yet except for a little bit on the soles. I think I can realistically expect at least another two or three years out of them. My only complaint is that the safety toe will not pass through a metal detector. I have to keep my boots in my locker at work and wear my tennis shoes in to work, and then change shoes for my shift, and then change them again before I go home. If I can find some Timberland safety boots with a composite toe that won't set our metal detectors off, I'll try them. Otherwise, I'll just buy these again. I'll put up with the little bit of hassle caused by having to change my shoes if it means my boots will always be this comfortable. I have already recommended these to several friends. Update, March 2018 - After three and a half years in these boots, I have reached the point where it's almost time to replace them because the tread is starting to separate from the sole of the boot on my right shoe, and because I have put so many miles on them that I have almost worn the tread slick. They are very scuffed and have been well loved, and have served me well. They are still waterproof, though, and do a decent job of keeping my feet warm. They have held up to oil, diesel, hydraulic fluid, river water, and who knows what else. Other than the sole separating and the tread starting to wear off, these are still very comfortable to wear 12 hours a day on concrete. I still love these boots. I have flat feet and overpronate when I walk. I have never had to change the insoles in these boots. I am still using the ones that came with the boots from the factory. That in itself is a miracle, as I have to replace tennis shoes every few months because I walk so much that I break down the arch support in them. The only reason I'm considering other boots is for the option of a composite toe so they can pass through a metal detector. Not sure yet if I will replace these with the same boot or a different one.

First, I've only worn them for a little while to test the size but I can't foresee a problem. That said... I'm a photographer with a varied style and subject matter, including rusty, dusty abandoned locations to rusty, dusty objects. You see the pattern here. With being around potentially dangerous objects and locations, I needed a woman's boot that would: - give me the stability needed to confidently navigate the uneven terrain of my locations - give me much needed ankle support - shield the bottom of my feet from punctures - protect my toes when bumping into objects in the dark or from being crushed by toppling objects - be truly waterproof I also needed a boot that I could be in all day and hike distances to my locations, without weary, hot feet. This boot met all of my requirements. The boots arrived quickly and they fit perfectly. Even with my heavy hiking socks. I can probably switch to a slightly thinner sock, if I wanted to, and still have the perfect fit. I usually take an 8 1/2 with the heavy socks. I bought an 8 1/2 in these boots and they fit without an issue. They are cushioned nicely and the leather is soft! I anticipate the easy break in will be as promised, and without blisters. They are well made and comfortable. The steel toe box is roomy but the heal hugs, which is exactly what I need. Most shoes are too lose in the heal for my foot build. They feel secure and are light enough to not weigh my feet down. I'm looking forward to my first hike out in them and really putting them to the test on my locations.

I bought these boots to replace a pair of Doc Martens work boots. I find these boots not as wide as those, which isn't bad. The soles are a lot more comfortable and thicker than the Docs, too. After a week of wear, they've confirmed nicely to my feet. It took two whole days to break in, but they are a good fit. I lace them all the way up and the ankle support provided is top notch. It's been rainy and the waterproofing has been good for small puddles so far. I have yet to go deep puddle jumping or caught in a downpour with these. Some people might find the ankle support to be too stiff because it does take some getting used to. I would advise to lace them up to your comfort until you get it just right. I would have liked the laces to be a little longer, but they're not terrible. I just can't double knot my shoes. What I like about these is that my foot stays snugly in the shoe. My feet would slip a little in my Docs and I would stub my toes on the steel toe of the shoe from the inside. These shoes exceeded my expectations. Stable, comfy, durable. I hope they last longer than a couple of years with daily wear. We'll see.

This review is based on limited use of the boots so far because I bought them for responding with our local American Red Cross Disaster Action Team so, mercifully, they haven't seen a lot of action yet. However, I did wear them for at least an hour the day they arrived and for a minimum of four straight hours during a recent disaster response and found them comfortable right out of the box, as if they were already broken in. Truth be told, during the call, I didn't even notice them at all which is saying something for a brand new pair of boots! They haven't yet been worn in extreme temperature conditions and their waterproofing has yet to be truly tested but there was a steady drizzle to light rain during the response and my feet didn't know it. So, at the very least, these boots pass a light water test and I have no reason to believe they won't hold up equally well under wetter conditions. I did have to go up a full size because their wide wasn't wide enough. The first pair was fine length-wise but a little too cramped width-wise, even with a single pair of (albeit, thick) socks. (This is a common problem for me. Because of my small but wide foot, I usually shop in the boy's department but couldn't find any safety-toe boy's boots, nevermind a pair that was also waterproof.) These Timberland Pro boots were a bit on the pricey side for someone like me, who is not into the whole shoe obsession thing, but they feel solidly built, have the features I needed, are amazingly comfortable, and don't feel at all awkward or clunky while wearing. I think the only thing I might have changed with these boots is perhaps a steel, puncture resistant shank rather than the fiberglass one because I don't know how well fiberglass would hold up to a nail puncture. Considering the boots are not classified as "puncture resistant" I will do my best not to find out the hard, pointy way. Unfortunately, the shoe industry doesn't pay a lot of attention to making true working boots for women (you know, for those of us who are more than willing to break a sweat, dirty our hands, and break a nail or two doing real manual labor) so our choices are very limited compared to the plethora of serious work boots available to men. Yeah, they're out there but you have to hunt for them, especially if you want features like wateproof AND safety toe. What was great was finding (most of) the features I needed and finding them in a boot that is very comfortable. Time will tell how well these boots hold up under abuse but they've easily -- and comfortably -- passed muster so far. I would definitely recommend these boots but would suggest going up about a half to full size if you have a truly wide foot, especially if you may have to wear extra socks in colder conditions.

I never write reviews but I almost didn't buy these boots because of some of the reviews here, and honestly I would have been missing out. I am a zookeeper and am doing constant physical labor day in and day out (according to my FitBit, I'm taking about 20,000 steps in these things a day), running up and down the side of a mountain cleaning animal enclosures in all kinds of weather, standing in deep puddles and splashing chemicals and who knows what else all over my boots. These things have held up like crazy-- not a single spot of leakage, and my feet are never sore. I didn't even have to replace the included insoles, and I have battled foot pain for a long time. But I'm dry and comfortable all day. The best boots are the ones that make you not even ever think about your feet, and those are these for me. I did have to go up half a size, I'm normally a 7.5-8, and I had to return the 8s I bought for an 8.5. They still felt a little tight at first but after about half an hour they were fine, there was really no breaking in period, they were comfortable immediately and I never had blisters. They are not super heavy. Again, I honestly never think about them except for when I dump ten gallons of water over my feet and am silently grateful for the toes I know will remain dry! The one thing I WILL say-- the shoelaces! Ridiculously short! If you are buying these boots just order a replacement pair of laces right now. I ordered a pair of 54" boot laces and now I can actually thread them through all the holes AND double knot! It's insane that that the originals are so short. But that is literally my only qualm. I'm not sure what boots some of these other reviewers received, I am extremely picky about my boots seeing as I walk almost ten miles a day in them six days a week, and I have no other complaints besides shoelace length, I think that's pretty good!

I work 12hr shifts in a manufacturing setting involving wet/sloppy conditions as well as chemical usage. I stand on a concrete floor for extended periods of time and was looking for a sturdy boot that was comfortable and kept my feet dry, whether from wet conditions or sweaty/clammy feet. After reading the many positive reviews for these boots I decided to give them a try. Most reviews said to order a half size down, so I also did that and ordered a 7.5 instead of my usual 8. I’ve had these boots for a month now and am happy with them. I experience leg and lower back pain with standing for extended periods of time on a concrete surface and while the pain is not totally eliminated, my foot comfort during work hours has improved since wearing these boots. The upper is also very comfortable and I did not experience any blistering. They required minimal “breaking in” and were pretty comfortable from day one. One con - my pinky toes did rub for the first few days. I didn’t get blisters though, and the rubbing stopped after a few days of wear. My absolute favorite thing about these boots is that I don’t get sweaty or clammy feet/socks! I wear orthotic insoles and remove the insoles when I take my boots off to allow the insides to dry as much as possible, and the insoles are dry to the touch upon removal! Also my feet and socks do not feel sweaty or clammy After taking my boots off. Even during the hottest of work hours I don’t experience a “sweaty foot feeling” and my feet do not slip around in these boots. They also have great traction on slippery surfaces and have held up well to messy work environments so far. I read some reviews from women who have owned pairs of these boots for years and I’m really hoping mine last that long too!

I bought two pairs of these boots. The first pair lasted me nearly three years of daily wear as a zookeeper and were truly put through the ringer. They looked like hell, but they stayed waterproof and were very comfortable. Six months ago I bought a replacement after the fabric on the inner heel wore out and I was getting holes in all my socks. From the get go, it seemed like my new pair were not the same quality. They were much less comfortable out of the box and took a few weeks to break in, whereas my previous boots were comfy from the start and had hardly any break-in time. I’ve had my new pair about six months and I am sad to report they are no longer waterproof. The front of the sole has started to separate from the toe, which I only discovered after stepping in some water. I now have wet socks and need to look for new boots. I won’t be buying these again.
