I cannot believe how wonderful this tape is. I taped up a sign on an outside brick wall. It has been rained on so many times and also has been frozen and it's still holding strong! I've used it on 2 metal cabinet doors that refuse to stay closed. The tape holds, pulls up easily to open the cabinets and sticks right back when I close them. They must have been opened 100 times and the tape is still working as if it were the first time. I have used it to tape up boxes, then realized that I left something out of the cardboard box. The tape pulled up easily with only about a 1 inch by 1/4 inch piece of paper pulling up from the box. The tape then resealed the box perfectly. When I went to put the box back in storage, it slipped in my hands and I was holding it upside down with the tape on the bottom. It was about 50 lbs and I thought sure that the tape would fail and everything would spill. It did not. The tape held fast. It has worked great around my windows to help keep out the cold. You know how sometimes you get tape crooked and when you pull it up to straighten it, the tape twists and sticks to itself? This has not happened at all with the GafferPower Gaffer tape. I also had a plastic bag in the freezer that tore. I used the Gaffer tape. About a month later, I removed it from the freezer and pulled it off of the plastic bag without a problem. I stuck it on the side of the fridge until I could throw it away. I forgot about it and 3 days later I noticed it on the fridge. I assumed it would fall right off having been in the freezer for a month. It did not. It was stuck well to the fridge and there was no residue left on my fridge when I removed it!!!!! How I wish I had known about this tape sooner. The clear package tape and the Duct tape are going in the back of the drawer only to be used in emergencies. Can't wait to try some of the other colors! It also does NOT hurt that this is made in the U.S.A. and is affordable!!!! I wish Amazon would sell more made in the USA products.

I was wondering why the price tag on this particular gaffers tape is almost 3 times what I paid for another brand. Now, there is little doubt why. This particular brand works well, very well. It leaves behind zero sticky residure, unlike the other one I had used in the past. I ended up tossing that roll into the trash can. I use this roll to secure my video cameras to a tripod. I do computer vision work. I removed the tape a week later, and there was zero residue! The other brand left behind 95% residue. I had to clean it off with Goo B Gone. I am now using this to tape cables to walls and drop cloths to ceilings (for demolition of hardwood and tiles to install new flooring). I removed the tape as a test to see what residue it left behind. How much? Zero! This gaffers tape works well!I rate the adhesion quality stronger than blue or yellow masking tape, but weaker than duct tape. This is sometimes all you want so that you can remove the tape with ease when needed.

The best tape is gaffer tape. I carry it when I travel. It can hang things (there are never enough hooks), tape curtains closed, cover all the horrid little blinky lights on chargers and sockets and TVs in rooms at night, repair little rips and loose luggage handles, tape down cords, backup first aid, and many other uses, all while being easy to tear, easy to remove, without leaving residue or ruining paint (you should test carefully, but it's often flawless), even when there's some moisture involved. Rips easily, sticks on everything, holds well, then comes off easy and clean. It's just great. Oh, it's also used on film sets and for other electrical purposes and works well there too. Only docked a star because it's pricey.

Strong and reliable matt black tape I used to wrap a rusting Jeep Wrangler external bumper guard with. Extends the life of the bumper without having to replace it. Holding up after several months and can use leftover roll to reapply when tape eventually detaches from outdoor elements. Perfect for what I needed it for.
