No Smart Phone Needed, or great to follow along with automated directions
This is a wonderful paper map of Great Britain and Ireland. The paper is strong and the ink does not run. It is easy to fold and use in a car. it is great for getting where you want to go without using a smart phone. Of course it does not contain detail maps of your final location so you need directions or to follow signs for that. Yes its old school but it works without electricity.

Map of UK & Ireland
This is my 2nd purchase of the same map. It is a large easy to use paper road map, printed only on one side (which I like because I like to write on my maps during the trip, and I don't have to worry about ink bleeding through and damaging what is printed on reverse side). The map has a laminated cardstock outside cover, which protects it when folded properly. However, it causes cuts in the map when you try to fold it 'open' for viewing specific areas. I tried to pull the cover off my first map, but it started tearing the map. I highlighted each road we took during the trip, using a different color for different days. I made trip notes on the map, adding places we visited, and dates. I ordered the 2nd map so I can transfer my annotations carefully & more artfully to the new map. I am thinking of making a wall hanging and adding a scattering of travel pictures over untraveled areas. I think it is something we would enjoy looking at to reminisce.

good but not great
Its a very good map, but the paper is so thin it will not last long. The size is a bit large, but the detail is helpful. I have a uk/ireland map from 20 years ago that I received from AAA, and it is much better quality and a much better user-friendly map.

Versatile and easy to use.
I just got back from a six week trip to the UK. Scotland, Ireland, England and Wales. We drove. I wanted a map to track our routes that would include all countries but not be too large and cumbersome. This map fit the bill. It was easy to fold into sections and easy to read. I recommend it.

Lack of information
I needed something to compare Great Britain with my National Trust properties. Oddly this map does show small villages, motorways, and lacks clarity. I wanted and ordered a map from Collins but was told the order was lost and later that it was unavailable. I had to dig out my humongous with 40+ pages from prior trips and got from the AA in the UK. Upon our arrival I will get a new version as I think I’m missing some newer motorways…Truly if you want the best map either the very large one which is not practical but I’ll get an AA one page fold out. But it’s the best I could do as I ordered several which didn’t work. Fortunately, we’ll have a car with GPS and the UK names their homes, hotels..everything has its own postal code..short set of numbers/letters that take you directly to your destination. Wish the US used this same method.

Has good detail
We used this map for planning an upcoming trip to the UK. The detail shown on this map was very helpful in planning the trip.
