Used this shelter first time last weekend was 4 degrees out when we set it up. Is heavy but that is not a problem.It is well built and kept 4 of us warm all day out on the ice. Used a Campy Gear 2 in 1 combination heater and stove and had to keep it on low. Otherwise was too hot in the shelter. Was plenty of room for 4 people and gear. The full open door is great nobody did the trip and fall. Also was very easy taking down and stowing away. Would highly recommend. When hauling it use a sled. Will save the back.

Love it! Plenty of room for 3 people and all your gear, could fit 4 without much gear. Super warm after baking in the sun. Easy to setup. Great windows. The light gray interior is perfect, not too dark but you can make it dark if you want to. Excellent price for what you get. I replaced al the Velcro D ring loops with nicer stainless ones from the home store because the factory ones bent right away. Cost me $6 to fix that.

We are a skiing family. Kids have ski team every Saturday and Sunday. At our local ski mountain, the indoor lodges are all closed for the season, leaving no where to warm up. This ice-fishing-turned-ski-warming-hut has literally saved our ski season. As a mom with 4 kids (youngest is 3 yrs old), I can pop this tent up all by myself in less than 2 minutes. I can also take it down by myself in also less than 2 minutes and hoist it into the car by myself. We eat our lunch inside this tent without gloves on and stay plenty warm and out of the wind. It was 8 degrees outside in this picture and we were very comfortable inside the tent on what is a very typical Idaho ski day. I HIGHLY recommend this shelter. We fit 4 adults and 5 kids comfortably in kiddie and adult folding camping chairs in this tent every ski day for lunch.The one caveat I would say about this tent is that it is HUGE when packed it. It does not fit sideways in the back of our suburban and so we have to put it lengthwise over a car seat or fold down one seat in the back of the suburban. It would never fit in my Subaru outback. We have considered strapping it on the top of the suburban using our kayak carrier.Anyway, if you ski regularly with kids this winter and drive a big car or truck, BUY THIS TENT immediately. You won't regret it.

This tent was perfect for 4 people. Used the double bottle buddy heater to keep the tent warm.Tent was very roomy width and height. Large door was very convenient and has a smaller door on opposite side. Lots of windows that open up if needed. Tent is easy to setup and breakdown in less than a few minutes. Recommend getting a drill attachment for the anchors as screwing in by hand is not ideal.This tent should last a lifetime.

This is a very cool tent. The tall celling is nice. The door is the best thing. I always catch my foot on the triangle doors. The over size bag is awsome. If I had to try and put this in a tight bad, I would return it.This is very big in the bag. In the bag it is about 5 feet 10 inches tall. It is also heavy as all .....They say the used a better and lighter material to make it lighter.?????over all I like this tent, ot might be big and heavybto get on ice, but once set up, you will enjoy it, draging it off the ice is totaly different.

I really like this shanty. The second time I used it was very cold and windy and it was nice and warm inside it. Plenty of Windows for natural light. I love that it zips all the way to the ice I was able to pull my jet sled right in without a threshold to step over. I could stand up and walk around by myself. I had 5 big guys in it also we were able to fish but it was a little tight. Four guys fish comfortable. I can set it up by myself if it is not real windy but in the high wind I needed help. Overall this is a really nice shanty.

The Eskimo Outbreak 450i is the best shelter out there. It is very roomy, 75 sq ft. It is insulated and warm. I have a 9000w propane Buddy Heater and we fished and slept in the shelter in -5 degree weather and stayed nice and warm. It has held up good in wind gusting 25 mph, anchored down of course. The bonus about this Shelter is that it has a full door and it is great, no more tripping and ducking way down to get in and out.

Bought the outbreak 450i because of the nice full door. Was the tent to hang out in every time we went out. Easy to walk in and out of. My son fell asleep in it one day. Just dragged his chair right out the door and finished taking down the tent. Put it up by myself one day in 15 to 20 mph winds. Was a little tricky but very do able. The square door is great. I wish it would have a square door on both sides. Wish eskimo would put in a few more anchors and tie downs to help deal with wind changing directions. But all in all just a great popup. Heat it with a big mr buddy heater and 20lbs tank. Stayed out over night no problem. Lowest temperature fished in 10 below zero. Still could take my jacket off and just be in a hoodie and comfortable.
